Bang For The Buck
I was skeptical about this item due to some reviews but I put it to the test and was working up in the mountains where away from my vehicle I was getting 0 to 1 bar LTE and once I got close to this antenna my signal went up to 2 to 3 bars and 5G. Only thing is that my phone has to be somewhat right under the inside antenna so I'm placing my cell phone holder right under which isnt bad.

Failed even the simplest test. Does NOT work
DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. I drive around in a truck on a commercial solar field where the service is poor to begin with. While inside the truck, my phone practically has zero service (SOS mode only), but cracking the window and holding my phone out instantly gets me a real signal. I bought this and mounted it on the windshield just above the steering wheel hoping it would function the same way without having to hold my phone out the window. Real cell boosters cost hundreds of dollars, so for the price I figured it was worth a shot especially given my very specifically tested situation. Unfortunately though it is complete garbage. Don’t waste your money.

Perfect - Did the Trick for Me
This antenna added One and sometimes Two Bars to my phone reception so it did the trick for me perfectly. My problem was that my AT&T Cell Phone worked in every place of the house EXCEPT at my living room chair. People on the other end could not understand me - my voice was "robotic" and distorted when sitting at my chair - even though I could hear the other person fine. At the chair, I only had one bar whereas there were two and three bars all over the house and the communication was fine. So - I placed one part of the repeater outside the house on a window near my chair and placed the other part inside the house near the phone. A bar was added to the signal - sometimes two bars. Now my voice sounds normal and I can use the phone at that one spot in the house that was not usable before. FOR SURE - the antenna is NOT INTENDED for household use but I suspected it would help in this case and it did. My chair is located right where the electrical lines come to the house at the meter. My suspicion is that those wires created an interference for the phone and that has been overcome using this antenna. For the money - it was worth a try. And, it paid off for me.

That the signal should be strong
I was not impressed with the signal at all. My signal only boosted one dot. Still not receiving calls in the mountains!

It is a bridge, not a booster. But works without battery or hook-up!!
So, if you want to know exactly how well this works... I have a little 8' by 12' cabin out in the deep woods that gets absolutely no signal inside the cabin when the door is closed. However, just outside of the cabin on all directions there is just 2 bars on my phone. I placed this antenna exactly how directed in a window (high enough for the window to still open in the summertime) and now, when the door is closed, I consistantly get exactly 1 bar inside the cabin. For me, this is a real relief because it is enough make calls, receive calls, I even watch movies on my phone. I do not have electricity out at the cabin, so it was so nice to have such an affordable solultion that didn't require batteries or electricty. But you should know that it carries the signal in at one bar less than it is outside. It is not a booster. It's more like a bridge when you can't get a signal past a wall.

Works in car
I was scared of the reviews on similar products, but antenna is cheaper than a new phone so gave it a try. Not wanting to attach to window if it did not work i did something different. I taped the antenna and base together with scotch tape and put it on my dash with my phone laying on the base piece antenna. I usually have dead spots driving to and from work. Day 2 had a couple of places I lost signal but came back quickly that was on way to work going home always had at least 1 line in the known dead spots. Usually lost signal by being around a lot of trucks(Not today). This is only day 2, but from what I can tell it works. In one of the dead spots i lifted my phone off antenna and lost signal put it down on the base and got signal. i made it home talking on the phone and did not lose the signal. Normal call backs due to dropped signal 3-6 times during a call. Today and yesterday 0. Time will tell but so far I am pleased.
