Good flints

They work better and are easier to strike in my Zippo lighters than the ones Zippo makes. I will be buying more. They are both smaller in diameter and length than the standard Zippo flint, so I recommend using some small tweezers, tiny needle nose plier or small forceps for getting them out of the jar and into your lighter. The do work very well.

EXCELLENT!

The media could not be loaded. I have a Duke 2 lighter from Japan that I love. I have been using it a ton, lighting incense, burning frayed cord, threads, scaring my children,, etc. I don't smoke but I find lots of uses for a quick flame. I tried replacing the flint with the gold color zippo flint. It was terrible. It went from lighting every time to requiring a very firm, deliberate snap to get it to light and sometimes a weak little spark would spit out and fail to light. I was very bummed because I looked all over the internet for info on which flints were in the Duke 2. No luck. I saw that these flints were made in Japan and decided to take a chance. JACKPOT! These flints are super soft and throw a shower of sparks with the slights, lightest flick. Yay! Unfortunately, I seem to have bought the last vial so hopefully they come back in stock. These are definitely worth the premium price. The Japanese are rocking the lighter and flint world. I will be watching to buy more of these.

Great Flints

These worked great. I'm glad I purchased these for my old lighter.

No glass bottle packaging

Flints work fine in my lighters, so no complaints about their function or performance. As other reviews have mentioned, these flints no longer come packaged in a little glass bottle. Instead they are in a small plastic screw top container that doesn't even have a Kiribi label sticker on it. A little disappointing but the container is perfectly functional for storing the flints.

As good as zippo

Most people like these better than zippo. I did not notice a difference, but they work well.

Not as pictured

The flints didn't come in the pictured vile. They came in a small shallow and round container, which makes it more difficult to remove the small flints, as well as making it more prone to accidental spillage.

Comparative Points

First off, these arrived very quickly so kudos to the seller, TobaccoPipes.com. With that, my package contained 19 flints - not 20. Knowing the high price of these, it was a bit annoying to see this at 60 cents per flint. On testing in my antique 1927 IMCO IFA "trench" lighter, I noticed no difference in performance between these and my much less expensive stock Zippo flints. Both brands spark well and both are reliable. Here's the deal — Amazon sells a ten-pack of Zippo flints for $11.95... that's sixty flints which comes out to 20 cents each. Your results may vary.

Short Flint!

Flint shorter than a standard Flint. Good Spark! Wears down fast!
