Thank you Amazon and reviewers: this product exceeded expectations!
The Wrap: price, scent, value, performance. 5 stars. I am happy I found this!I have been cringing every time I have to drop big money on a competing shampoo at the grocery or pet stores. They make a good product, but they have a dozen different types/flavors, and I have no idea which one will help my dog's skin and fur without irritating it. I switched to Vets Best based on reviews and research here and with my vet. See below to find out why this is my new go-to shampoo. My Shepherd has lots of allergies: grass, pollen/seasonal. Her paws get inflamed from walking on grass. I had never experienced this before with a pet. This product helps with her inflammation and itching, and leaves her coat smooth, soft and fresh smelling. I bathe her once a week to keep her clean and to help with her skin/paw allergies.

Good Product
Dog shampoo that does not hurt their eyes, excellent lather, rinses well. The dog had no choice, but I liked it just great. Protects against fleas.

Not exactly for cats, but I couldn't find a shampoo for cats
This shampoo has some fine print on the front label that says "for dogs with sensitive skin." The description on Amazon says its for dogs and cats. The quantity for the price was good. My cat still has some dandruff, though from her ordeal before I adopted her at 1 year, sometimes hunting for food. She was too very fluffy and would not let me brush her except when in the "tub". At first they bathed her at the vet. They carried shampoo for cats--Natural Care Oatmeal flea relief Cat Shampoo. It smelled great--refreshingly woodsy. This will be good because she likes to get her face washed and this is at least somewhat tearless, according to the description. Grandpa's pine tar soap makes good dandruff shampoo for humans. But this says it is hypo-allergenic--No herbs that are poisonous for cats. She likes her bath in a medium-small dish pan in the kitchen sink with something to strain the cat hairs in the drain area. The sink recently was plugged and I kind of suspect cat (and human) hair. Warmth and a wire brush help the shedding process while soaking. The shampoo seems good, and smells (mild smell) like flowers, or maybe air freshener, which is a plus. Seeing she soaks in it, it has to be very nontoxic. Gave 3 stars and later edited to 4 stars because it seems mild. I tested it on my own eyes with a little of the suds. It seemed not to be very tearless on me, though, but I can't compare. It still would be nice to have a safe, mild shampoo that states its FOR CATS (even if for dogs also) on the label, I guess. Pinetar soap is good for dandruff in humans. Maybe some pine extract (not like pine-sol, like maple syrup or sap) could be good for cats with dandruff, too.

It sucks but I cant go without daily cuddles
I am mildly allergic to dogs when I come in contact with them, I get red and itchy but I have a Boxer who is just over 2 years old and I have had him since he was 7 weeks old. He is my baby so I tolerate the itchiness/redness. It sucks but I cant go without daily cuddles, I always have to make sure that there is some sort of barrier between him and my skin though. Although face kisses cant be helped so I always end up with red blotches and itchy bumps on my face. they suck! Well I just recently found out about hypo-allergenic dog shampoo (never knew it was a thing) so I did some research on the best ones (gotta have the best for my baby boy). It smells pretty good, my dog didn't seemed to be bothered by it, he loved his bath. Once he was all dry I put it to the test! I snuggled up to my dog and put my face on him for awhile. There was no redness!! Had a small area that got a bit bumpy and itchy but compared to before that was nothing! This stuff works great!!!!!!!!I can finally cuddle my babyboy without worrying about my skin. Plus HE IS SOFT AND SHINY!!! He is the best looking pupper out there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially for you sensitive skin people!

Still a bit scented, but so mild and effective
I bought this for my dog since he suffers from skin allergies, but also because I suffer from chemical and fragrance sensitivity. I would bathe him, and then turn red on parts of my body despite using gloves during the bath. The products that we got from the vet were just way too perfumed, and it constantly was an issue because my dog smelled like I had dipped him in concentrated Downy fabric softener. He gets a bath once a week since he's a small Yorkie and is easy to bathe, so we were dealing with this often. This has been used three times, and there have been no issues with his skin- I would even say less issues than the extremely perfumed "sensitive skin" shampoo from the vet. I'm not sure if all the ingredients are listed on this label though, as there still is a pretty good amount of what I consider fragrance. If it's in there, it's a very small amount and washes out of his coat well. It could just be a fresh scent from the aloe in the formula, but I'm still wearing gloves as a precaution. At least I can touch the dog and smell him after his bat without a rash popping up, so for me that's absolutely an improvement!

Nice Product!
Thought I would try this product after using Vet's Best ear products which I love! I have a Cocker Spaniel with allergy issues including both environmental and food allergies. I have used numerous hypo-allergenic shampoos on both my personal pets and as a professional groomer. This product has a clean fragrance, lathers well and leaves a shiny coat. Cost is in the low average range. No residual issues after using the product but he was flaky again within a few days. I'm glad I tried it but will not likely buy again as this product does not out-perform what I was already using.
