Good Soothing Spray
Was prescribed this by optician for my dry eyes. My refill prescription didnt arrive do very glad to find it available here. Very easy to use and I find it does sooth my eyes particularly on a very dry day. I havent noticed any scent to it. Very effective.

Eye spray
I used this whilst on holiday as the bright sun affects my eyes badly. Even with sunglasses. This really helped & I had no eye issues.

Different
It felt a lot different to my usual eye drops. It does seem to work but make my eyelids feel claggy. Much easier to apply and I will probably stick with them.

Most eye sprays do not do much, this one works
Like many I suffer from severe dry eyes... When I drive my car on longer distances this can be unbearable. Using a spray during driving can bring some relief. This one is the only one that works as good as a spray can work. Because of the oil contents my tears do not evaporate so quickly. However, when you spray and open your eyes too quickly, it can burn a lot, but this goes away after a few minutes, and then it works. Nothing beats eyedrops, but in the car this brings relief. What I like is that you get more in the bottle than usually. Also that it does not create drops on my face so much. The bottle is handy and will last long, also because of the long shelf life. I recommend as the best dry eye spray I have used (and I used many of them).

First mechanism defective.
Using this spray is maddening. Once the spray is activated and sprayed on the eye it is excellent. The problem is the spray unit. For some reason my container requires multiple pushes to activate sprayer before the medication is expelled.

Waste of money!
I am extremely disappointed in Optase Dry Spray. The premise is that you spray this on your eyelids from 6-10 inches away. Then, you blink so it goes in your eyes. There are 2 major issues with that: 1) You are spraying with your eyes closed. The spray goes out with a wide mist. You end up spraying your forehead and cheeks more than anything else. About 20 wasteful sprays in, you finally hit your eyelids. And, it does drip down but not in your eyes!! It just drips down your face. 2) If you are lucky enough to get a drop or two of the solution in your eyes, it burns. It isn’t soothing and it does not help your dry eyes. I find that my eyes feel dryer using this spray. Then after using, I have crust that has formed on my eyes. I didn’t have crust to begin with. What is really upsetting is how expensive this is. I contacted Optase directly before purchasing this. I asked them specifically if the dry spray had the same ingredients as the Optase intense dry eye drops. I didn’t want to waste my money on this if it didn’t. They said and I quote, “The spray can be used in lieu of the drops” and implied that they had the same ingredients. See below and judge for yourselves if these ingredients are the same: Dry spray ingredients: Glycerin 1%, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Polyoxyethylenesorbitan Monooleate. Potassium Chloride, Purified Water, Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sorbitan Monooleate, Tromethamine Intense drop ingredients: Glycerin 0.2%, Hydrochloric acid, sodium hyaluronate, sorbitol, trometamol, water It looks to me like there are 10 ingredients in the dry spray and 6 ingredients in the intense dry eye drops. The glycerin content isn’t even the same! And, now I have wasted my money on this and do not have the money I need to buy the drops.

A real cure for dry eyes (use at bedtime)
Long time dry eyes that will actually get so dry that it bloodshots my whole eye. Starts off as feeling like grit in my eye, but it’s the lack of oil in the lower eyelid glands. Yes, this product stings when you spray it on the top of your closed eyes. But the discomfort only lasts for a few minutes as you blink on and off. Small price to pay for the relief it offers. Give it a week to work fully and you won’t be disappointed. The price, the bottle not spraying properly and the expiration are the negatives.
