How deep are these please? Need them for potato topped meals eg. Cottage Pie

Approx 6cm deep x 10cm wide x 18cm long. Depends on how hungry people are as to whether one would be enough for 2! My lot could eat one container of shepherd’s/cottage pie by themselves. If not so greedy, then it might serve 2 with veg! I put curry filled to the top in them and that’s OK for 2 with rice.

are the lids oven proof?

No! Just had a curry in the oven from frozen at 190C and the glue/ coating on the lid has all bubbled up and stuck the lid to the dish! Ruined a good curry! Not happy!

Can these trays really be used in a microwave

Never tried it and certainly wouldn’t want to. I use the containers just to store food in a freezer and then cook in a conventional oven when needed.
