It really works!
Use the lock mulch where areas of the mulch was being washed away. It worked out very well and the mulch hardened within 15 to 20 minutes in the direct sun.

This is the yard glue you've dreamed about!
This stuff is straight-up magic in a bottle. Spray it on, watch it soak in, and boom — your rocks, pebbles, mulch, or whatever loose landscaping bits you’ve got are now glued tighter than my commitment to bad puns. No more rocks in the driveway, no more mulch migrating to the neighbor’s yard, and definitely no more me out there at 7 AM playing 3D Tetris with wet stones after a rainstorm. It dries clear (I did a terrible job spraying it! 😂), holds through wind/rain/dog zoomies, and still lets water through so your plants don’t throw a fit. Plus overspray is water soluable! I even hit it with a pressure washer 24 HOURS after putting it in and the sand between the pavers didn't move! A week later? Hurricane-level winds tried their best. The rocks? Didn’t budge. It’s like giving your landscaping a bouncer who actually shows up sober. Rock Loc team — if you’re reading this (and I hope you are, because product searches are a thing), hit me up! I have a HUGE yard and you have glue!

Great, but…
Update 2 months after application: didn’t hold. Just didn’t. None of it. We used 4 gallons of it and it didn’t hold with the dogs & regular walking. This product would be great for an area that is hardly trafficked & just wanting a clean look all the time. If the area is trafficked at all, and the gravel is more than one layer deep (as it is recommended to be) then it doesn’t hold. This product would be great in a garden for mulch that isn’t walked on as well. Won’t buy again for the same purpose, but if needed for little projects like mulch, maybe. We have a lot of pea gravel we have used in our back patio area. With 2 large dogs, we needed something to keep it off the flagstone pavers. We bought a yard spray bottle for application. This product works great for the most part and in a basic way. It will not adhere all of the rocks together, it will adhere the ones directly hit by the stream of glue. If those are on top of other rocks and get moved, then that clump moves as a whole which can make the situation worse almost. It clogged the sprayer numerous times. We had to use 2 5-gallon buckets for our little backyard and need more still. It is permeable which is nice for water & does a great job at keeping the rocks in tact between the pavers. It does a great basic job, but for the price and the amount needed to complete the project, along with needing reapplication, I’m unsure that it is worth it. For small spaces, it would be great for a quick fix. However, if your gravel is 2” deep, that is 2” deep of gravel that needs coated in order to fully do as advertised which is near impossible.

I was pleasantly surprised
I was skeptical at purchasing this product solely on the mixed reviews. But I decided to give it a try since doing nothing would have the same results as previous years. Piles of mulch washed into my grass and across my driveway after a heavy downpour. I spread three cubic yards of triple ground brown mulch around all my trees and flower beds. I love this mulch. It spreads easily and covers nicely, but because of its rather small and fine texture, a heavy down pour will remove the mulch from any area where the water collects and runs off. The best way to describe these run off areas are flower beds that are raised and contour down to the lawn. Right at that point is where the rain water collects and washes away the mulch. On most of the flat mulched areas it stays in place. But at those "V" type areas, water runs like a small creek and everything ends up in a pile at the lowest point. I spend four hours raking and sweeping up mulch and redistributing it back over the bare dirt. This is every time after every down pour, all summer long. A little research online brought me to this product. I live in southeastern PA and we just went through about six to eight weeks of no measurable rain so everything was extremely dry. I shook the bottle per directions and dumped one third into my two gallon portable pump sprayer. I did the same with the other two thirds. Pumped up the sprayer and opened up the nozzle to allow for the thicker material to be applied. It reminds me of watered down Elmers Glue. (probably is) I applied it to the areas most prone to be washed off, about twelve inches wide. With everything being so dry, the mulch sucked it in immediately. The coverage looked about the same as pictured on the bottle. I may have went a bit heavier in the more severe problem areas, but I tried to stay consistent to optimize coverage. I noticed it leaves a slight sheen on the mulch when it dries. Probably not that noticeable to anyone who didn't see it being applied. Three days later we had a line of storms roll through that dumped two and a half inches of rain. This would be the test. When I walked the yard, I was pleasantly surprised to find that something like ninety five percent of what I had sprayed stayed in place. Overall I'm pleased with the product. Just make sure you shake/ mix the product well before use and I think the biggie is to make sure the mulch is as dry as possible before application. The directions state that Loc Mulch should dry for twenty four to forty eight hours for best results. I agree. the longer the better.

Do not purchase!
I'm glad I waited to make my review because a couple weeks showed me that this is horribly miss leading. My project is small rocks surrounding my lawn to keep sprinklers away from the fence and the rocks eliminate mud areas. You can see in the video that the rocks have been rinsed and packed prior to applying the "glue". There was more to the video showing the reappearing of white color wheb water is applied to fully cured glue but amazon wouldn't allow the extra minute of video length. I did application as directed on product with dry material that had zero water for more than 2 day prior and after application. Since I'm in northern CA we were 95° and above when I did the applications. My issues with this product are that it's WATER SOLABLE which means water not only breaks it down but the glue re-absorbs the water (after fully curing) and returns to mush after water sits for a while. Yes it takes a couple weeks of sprinklers 5 days a week to have the effect of no application but come rain season (in a few weeks) all of my areas will be as if I never spent countless hours packing and glueing. This product is so water solable I'm not sure they added any nitrogen to the formula because how do you market an outdoor glue that can not hold up a week or two into winter? $460.00 down the drain. Now I'm having to spend another ~$500.00 on an epoxy paint to solidify the rocks in place and it's a race against mother nature because of the wasted time applying fraudulently marketed outdoor glue. I do NOT recommend this product for anyone that actually wants their landscape material to stay put after water exposure. You could save money and just apply Elmer's clear glue which would last longer and not turn white everytime it gets wet. I'm on a very limited budget, and saved for 3 years to get my sprinklers and rock project funding (did all work myself) so to now be over budget by more than $500 is heart breaking and stressful. It will take me a year or more to pay off the credit card from this grossly misleading product.

Product is thick and has small chunks in it will clog your sprayer
This product works as far as the glue goes. But it will not work with any sprayer that I can find very hard to applyProduct is thick and has small chunks in it will clog your sprayer. I tried fitting at fifty-fifty with water and stirred and shook it, but it didn't seem to matter. It just clogged the sprayer within about 30 seconds. And I had to just pour it out. Took a long time to dry and wasted a lot of product but it does glue boo the rocks. On my patio fire viewer hard to apply

THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC REVIEW
FANTASTIC PRODUCT! IT ACTUALLY WORKS. I applied this to an area where I have decomposed granite (DG) to create a tropical/desert scene. I did this around September 2020. I felt I needed to do something as DG will spread its dust all over the place-even indoors. Also, erosion occurs due to slopes and rains. It is now July 2021 and the DG is still in tact, with a crusty top layer. The only place it broke down is where I broke it from a water spray or poking with garden tools. I DID apply two layers on the flats and three layers on the slopes. I did this because I wanted to make sure it would hold for the winter rains. We actually had a light rainy season, so a true test would be if we will ever get a rainy season again here in Sacramento. Plus, I felt I had to use it up due to its short opened shelf life. I am very pleased with its performance. A bit of advise would be not to apply it around trees and plants, as water rolls off this stuff. Compared to other available products locally, the coverage of Landscape Loc Mulch & Rock Bond is around FIVE times better! (Meaning it goes much further than the others, which means much less expensive). And, according to the label, lasts much longer, too! I think I will order another bucket for this season, just in case, but I probably don't need to this year.

Gravel Fire Pit area
I didn’t do a good job of compacting the soil underneath my fire pit area so I needed something solidify the gravel. This did exactly what I needed for my river pebble rocks. Used the entire 5 gallons on the fire pit which is about 190 sq ft. As you can see I also used some PermaSand for the retaining blocks and flag stones. We will see what happens over time and after some rain but i waited until the forecast showed several days of no rains and it’s very solid right now. You can still pull rocks up but this will allow foot traffic. It’ll also keep my dog and 7 year old from tearing up this area. The other impressive thing is that it’s kept the natural color of the rocks. It’s a milky white substance that clears within 5 minutes of applying starts drying. It doesn’t even appear to have anything on it. I tried a pump strayer at first for the first coat which was very slow and used a water can that came out a lot quicker for the second coat. Not sure which is better honestly. Overall, this was worth a shot over the other expensive solutions. Just go ahead and get the 5 gallon bucket if you have any question about how much.

Working fine so far
Using it on the rocks between my patio stones. One coat so far and it held up during two good rains and several hot days. The instructions are inconsistent.... for the big bucket online it says it's ready to apply. But on the bucket it says to mix with water. We did it without adding water and it worked fine. Going to put a second coat on. The true test will be when our dogs are outside playing... will it hold up to nails.

Doesn’t bond to large bark chips
I applied two applications of this after carefully following the instructions (hot weather, didn’t rain or walk on area) but it just doesn’t bond together. I have large bark chips mulch and they don’t bond together. It is pretty disappointing. I’m going to just roll out black bird netting before the fall so I can use the leaf blower to quickly remove the leaves. Don’t waste all your time using this product. (I specifically bought because it is supposed to work for large chips, it doesn’t)
