adidas is a name that stands for excellence in all sectors of sport around the globe. The vision of company founder Adolf Dassler has become a reality, and his corporate philosophy has been the guiding principle for successor generations. The idea was as simple as it was brilliant: to provide every athlete with the best possible equipment. It all began in 1920, when Adi Dassler made his first shoes using the few materials available after the First World War. Today, the adidas product range extends from shoes, apparel, and accessories for basketball, soccer, fitness and training to adventure, trail and golf. Review: Best Running Shoes I've ever had - I got these Adidas Marathon 10 shoes in early October 2012, just a few weeks before I was supposed to run my first marathon. I've been just a moderate runner for awhile, but my training for this marathon was very lackluster. In fact I only did one training run with these shoes before running the marathon. Anyways, despite not being properly broken in, these things were wonderful. I struggled mightily towards the end of the run, but amazingly the one thing not bothering me was my feet. I'm a huge fan of these shoes, they are not bulky or heavy like some of my previous running shoes, but aren't quite "minimalist" either. They are just sleek, light, comfortable shoes with some minimal support for your soles. I will say that there is little to no ankle/upper support, which I actually prefer, but if you have weak ankles/feet these may not be for you. Review: on my third pair of these ... - ... because they are a great shoe. Lightweight, flexible, supportive, and extremely comfortable. All for a very reasonable price in the world of running shoes. I made the transition to this shoe about 18 months ago when I was looking for a slightly lower profile than I had been using but didn't want to go to the extreme. This seemed like a good option. And it has been! So much so that then that pair wore out I got another. Now the second pair has reached the end of it's life (about 600 miles which is pretty darn good for a shoe!) and I just bought a third pair. As long as Adidas keeps making this shoe, they'll keep ending up on my feet.

Good shoes
Ordered these to replace my 3 year old Adidas Response's, since I've actually gotten in to running lately. Straight out of the box I put these shoes on and they felt like they were already broken in, put 2 miles on them the first day at a pretty good pace with no issues. No rubs or hot spots or anything. These shoes are Mi compatible, slot in the left shoe that is filled with a removable foam if you don't have the pedometer. I've put about 20 miles of hard running on them in the middle of the Middle Eastern desert with no complaints, they breath well, and look good. I'm planning on buying another pair when I get back home, just so I have another pair whenever these finally break down.

Good Lightweight & Flexible
I previously was wearing the Asics Gel Frantic 3 and then the 4. I've run a couple marathons in the past and now I'm basically doing 3 to 5 miles a time about 3 or 4 times a week. I let the Frantic 3 wear down too low and I think that's why I got tendinitis and then the Frantic 4 didn't seem to allow the right motion for my neutral gate and made it worse. What does this have to do with the Marathon 10? Well after ditching the Frantic 4 the Marathon has felt MUCH better and I'm back to running a few times a week after not being able to shake the tendinitis for a year (with a little icing after runs). It lets my foot move as it should for a neutral gate, is lightweight, descent cushioning and I can use it to play a little soccer with no problems cutting (albeit coaching my son's team, not really playing). The retro style looks cool too...I really hate the neon look of most running shoes. Good shoe and I recommend it.

BEST Long Distance Running Shoe Ever!
I bought my first pair of Marathon 10's a couple years back, but I got the Marathon 10TR for trail running. I loved them so much and got compliments on them EVERY time I wore them. Once I wore them completely out I bought the Red White and Blue Marathon 10's for long distance running and I have to tell you my feet/legs never hurt! They are light but not too light. Excellent breathability and the perfect amount of support front and back. Not to mention that they look Awesome! Just before I wrote this review I ordered my 3rd pair! This time I ordered the Dark Orange/Satellite Silver & White. I have a long race coming up in a couple of weeks and I know that I won't have to do much breaking in on these because they are that good straight out of the box. The only thing I have left to say is...Adidas, Don't Stop Making These!!

Not as much support as I thought.
You get what you pay for. These do not have as much support in the heel and arch as my Adidas supernova versions, and Nike structures. These are not for working, standing around or walking. They are for running and jogging only. I will only be wearing these for exercising. I will have to buy the Adidas supernova shoe for everyday use. You will need to buy 1/2 size larger. I'm a 10.5 and I purchased size 11, and they fit perfect! Glad I listened to the other reviews. They run narrow also, perfect for narrow feet people. Pros: They are light, build quality is great, The feel very good on my feet. Cons: The tongue is very thin, and they are hard to get on, You have to loosen the strings up quite a bit to get them on. Not enough heel and arch support for everyday standing around. I'm sure they are great for running, but I have yet to get out and run with them. I will update this when I do.

Top notch product
Best running shoe ever made. Light weight, stabilizes feet well, and holds up well for me, a 210lb man, whom runs 3mi a day 5 days a week regardless of the weather, referees 3-4 soccer matches per week-end, 3 tournaments a year, and trains an U-12 boys soccer team. The price seems to be rising but still reasonable. I have tried 3 other brands in the past. Keep coming back to M-10's. Great for yard/garden work after they get too compacted for running/training. Must confess that I still have fond memories of the Equipment 6's. Pleased with Amazon service. Highly recommend these shoes. LG Tug

Really good shoes as far as I'm concerned.
I wore these shoes out 6 months ago (though honestly, the arches were still solid). I had the bright yellow ones - and they were quite memorable. I used other shoes before and some after. I've had Sauconys, Newtons (a different kind of shoe), and others. These are memorable for the comfort and lightness. They hold up over long miles and the impact seemed nice. I'm 6'1" and a little heavier (as far as runners go) and they worked well. Knees, heels, lower calves all felt fine. I'll definitely go to these for my next pair of 'regular' running shoes.
