i love the ladle my only issue is the wood part of the handle is a bit loose and only held in with a single pin that is not all the way through.

Problem of short handle resolved
I was able to lengthen the short wool handle by buying a new handle at a Kitchen Supplies Store. Now, the length of the handle is 18 in., instead of 16. The cost of the new wood handle was just 2 dollars.

Not bad after all
A little loose when unpacked. Use twice and the wood handle depart. My husband placed a new screw so far it works!
