Cam Buckle Tie Down Straps - 500kg Break Strength - 5m - 4 Pack - Black

My order of 4 Bison tie down straps arrived today from Amazon and I wanted to give you my opinion. Firstly, they are great quality, strong straps and simple but effective buckles which seem designed not to catch on anything. I’m happy to pay a premium for a premium quality item and these straps don’t disappoint and yet the cost is comparable with non-branded straps. Secondly, they come with a smart pouch to store them in which is a really useful addition. I will definitely be looking at other Bison Gear goods in the future

I bought this bison gear straps for our move, and it works perfect for our estate car that is fitted with roof rails and racks. The straps are very strong and very easy to use. We put our 2m bookshelf on the roof rack and the straps held it very tight and strong. No movement at all and it was very easy to use, and the length of 5m for each strap is just perfect. I could not ask for a better product at this price for its purpose. Definitely recommending these straps to everyone.

This is a really amazing company. First off the straps are great and look really cool with the logo. Perfect for what I need. When I received them they came with an email to contact to activate a full lifetime warranty and to get another set for free!!! When you email them you speak to a lovely human. Stupidly the end of the straps was secured with pins. Found the one floating around inside the packet when first opened. No warning on packet or Amazon about containing sharps. As far as cam buckles go they all seem the same to me, quality seems good, nice galvanized cam-buckle & free life time warranty. Emailed Bison Gear Support & they say the supplier ran out of elastic bands & used pins, checked some of their stock & didn’t find any more. These ones came from Amazon warehouse so be careful just in case. Considering you get a life time warranty & guaranteed 100% satisfaction these being very competitively priced & well worth purchasing. Used these straps securing an 850L/30 Cubic ft. roof bag to go camping (in addition to ratchet straps), these performed as expected & prevented any movement of cargo & kept storm flaps down. Very happy with purchase & Bison Gear Support.

Brilliant and really strong!!!!!!!

So far so good, used once for a 1,000 mile round trip to hold stuff down inside a roof box. They worked great were strong and didnt move at all. They are very long, but as they were on offer thought why not, in my opinion good value for money. Easy to use just thread, pull and done.

Excellent straps

We used this roof top bag for a 400 mile journey back to Scotland. It survived rain, cross winds and 350 miles of 70mph roads. The bag is well designed and waterproof, non of the stuff inside the bag got wet. We are super impressed with the bag. We managed to fit 2 cabin bags, 2 large hold-all bags, 1 suitcase, 1 dog bed and 2 carrier bags worth of clothes and shoes. There was still plenty of room spare. To put our mind at ease we put a zip tie through the lock. We also put two ratchet straps around the bag to ensure it didn’t move but I don’t think they were needed. The ratchet straps did let water into the car when parked but once we were bag on the motorways and A roads the water didn’t get in. Overall it was well designed, strong, waterproof, easy to store and great value for money. For size reference we drive a Renault Clio so we have very limited boot and roof space.

Strong webbing, sturdy straps, work perfectly and securely.

These straps are working well for me. The cam buckles open wide and easily, making for the easiest strap insertion I've experienced. The ribbed straps are strong and hold securely on the clamp. I purposely wanted straps without padded buckles (although I have needed padding in the past), since my current application doesn't require them. UV resistance is important to me, as I've had straps disintegrate in untimely situations. I use the straps in a sequence: to tie down an inflatable kayak to my roof rack; then to strap the kayak to my kayak cart; and at the end of the day, chained in a pair to be a clothesline for life vests, etc. As others have done, I cut a pair of mine down to an ideal roof rack tie-down length, avoiding having to tie off bundles of excess. The dark blue weatherproof load-limit tags are a nice indication of quality-mindedness, but the black lettering is almost illegible against the blue background, and the tags just get in the way, so I tore them off (OK, I saved one for reference).

Just what I wanted to tie down the portable refrigerator in my SUV. The straps appear to be well made and come in a handy draw string bag.

These Bison Gear straps are very impressive. The clamp part stays locked where you set it. I drove cross country taking the long scenic route using the straps to tie down my grear to the top of mybtruck, so I was on the road for a month and these straps went through heavy winds, freezing winds, sand, sun, hot weather, rain. Never did they loosen or rip or fray. There is a reason why they guarantee these for life. Super great product!!

These seem really solid. Immediately felt confident my kayaks were secure upon first strap up. I’ve gone through many flimsy straps and these don’t feel flimsy at all. Drove an hour each way at 100-120 km and the straps held beautifully. No loosening. Completely satisfied and will order more.
