Ortopad® Bamboo Eye Patches, 50/bx, Beige, Reg Size 3+ yr, with Stickers

So I used these when I was recovering from a bout of Bell's Palsey and was having trouble closing my eye. Off the bat, they are more expensive than the first brand I tried (Nexcare Gentle Removal eye patches, will be reviewing them separately) but they are worth the added price. For one, they stick to your face a whole lot better (both during the day and when sleeping). I found that I could wear them comfortably even when outside in windy conditions (with no bleed over from the wind) without worrying about it coming off. That being said, removal was also easy. For as adhesive as they are I would have expected removal to be at least slightly uncomfortable, but I was pleasantly surprised. No pain, no stuck eyebrow hair, no sticky residue left behind. Finally, style-wise they strike an impressive balance. The baseline is a neutral beige, perfect for professional environments and the like. However, they also include a decent selection of colored and black and white stickers that you can (again, easily and with no mess) apply to the center of your patch before putting it on. I could not use these at work, sadly, but I did add them when at home to make it more playful for my kids. Overall I would buy them again if I ever had cause to.

I used these patches for my ten month old son to help strengthen his unpatched eye for 1 hour/day for about a month. Like the packaging says, the patch is like a bandaid - sticky on the outer side and a gauze-like material in the center. If I placed the patch correctly the first time, it would stay in place. If I had to redo it, it was less likely to stick. For the most part, my son was able to keep the patch on for the entire hour. I was careful when peeling the patch off and although my son didn't like that, it did not seem to hurt him. He did not experience any redness around the eye after the patch was taken off.

These are great patches for kids. My son swears in fl heat in them and they do not come off till we want them to. The adhesive is strong but my son has no problem as long as I let him take them off. They do not leave residue behind and the padding inside the patch does not irritate my kid at all.

Works great. Sticks well, even when removed once. We use them everyday for vision therapy.

I deducted one star due to the patches coming off somewhat easily. I understand blinking and facial movements may affect adhesion, but I expected these to stay on a little more firmly. Having said that, they are as comfortable as can be expected and they totally work. My vision has improved after using these to treat my lazy right eye. All in all a great buy.

Due to limited sight I’m his left eye, my 5 year old really struggles with daily patching. All of the drug store patches we’ve tried make him extra anxious because they’re more like bandaids (I comfy and painful to remove). These are the best patches I’ve found for pediatric patching- no painful and more comfortable to wear! Makes an already hard thing (patching) slightly easier!

I patch my daughters eye every day. This lasts! We tried the fancy ones while pretty, I found they would begin to lift. Not this one ! It lasts through the crying melt downs, the sweat. I find this material “breathes” better as well. The only downside is it does leave a bit of residue, nothing terrible a baby wipe and gone.

My nine year old felt he was too old for the patches with designs and colours. Theses are good quality, and easy to apply, and to remove. He occasionally decorates them with stickers

Best eye patch I've tried so far. This patch is very comfortable for all day use, doesn't squish your lashes or eye, easy to put on, blocks light better than any patch I've tried. This one stays on all day, and peels off easily at night. Would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, light blocking eye patch. Also great to wear under a leather eye patch without squishing your eyelashes.
