Forget what you think you know about four-blade props. The aluminum Mercury SpitFire 8M8026630 was engineered to excel. It provides the handling youโd expect from a four-blade, with speeds that rival a three-blade. For use on Mercury and Mariner 25-30hp FourStroke BigFoot/Command Thrust, 30hp TwoStroke and FourStroke (2005 and newer), and 40hp outboards. Review: Great Performance Upgrade โ Fast Install and Noticeable Boost! - The Mercury Spitfire 4-Blade Aluminum Propeller (10.3 x 13 Pitch) was a perfect upgrade for my 60HP Mercury EFI. Install took me about 10 minutes, and everything I needed was includedโexcept for marine grease, which wouldโve been a nice touch if they had tossed in a small tube. Still, thatโs a minor gripe. Once installed, the difference was immediate. The prop dramatically improved my holeshot and got me on plane much faster than the stock 3-blade. It grips the water better, especially in tight turns and rougher conditions, and overall gave the boat a smoother and more controlled ride. Build quality is solid, and it feels like itโll hold up well to regular use. For anyone looking to get more out of their mid-range outboard, this prop is a worthwhile upgrade. Highly recommended! Review: Rocket out of the hole - Last week I placed a new 2015 mercury 60hp efi on my Palm Beach fiberglass, deep V 16 ft cc: approximately 1000-1100 lbs, without me or engine, ....probably close to 1600 lbs overall. It had the new three bladed prop that pushed it to a GPS of 35mph, but took approximately 75 yards, and what felt like a minute to plane. I utilized the program at Mercury in every category, ie. fishing, performance, etc., and the 10.3 x 13 prop continually came up as a choice, so without a tach connected, as of now, I decided to purchase and see what it would do. With two people (340lbs?) and six gallons of fuel it literally pushed my hair back taking off. It continually planed in approximately 6-8 seconds with a top speed of GPS clocked 33mph. It appears that it has dropped a couple rpms, at wot and I might be able to change, but the engine doesn't struggle in any rpm range ie., ...slowing for wake and then taking off again. Yesterday I had my bud and his wife with me (approx 470lbs) and there was absolutely no performance drop...and a GPS 33mph. It came with everything needed to put it on, except grease of course, and took about two minutes to change it over. If you are in my boat's weight range, you won't be disappointed with the performance of this prop.

great prop fixed my issue of getting on plane with more weight than the boat calls for
i have never wrote review before but the prop saved me couple thosunds dollers on buying a bigger motor. ranger 60 with 900 pd of people the boat would not get on plane that is 400 pound over what the boat is rated for put the stiker 4 blade on and plane out just fine gained 500 more rpmโs u can tell the difference right out of the gate and gained couple more mile per hour it runs faster with the four blade with 4 people than it did with the 3 blade with two people so if your having problems like that this prop will fix your issue

Easy Install
I was having trouble getting my 16ft Carolina Skiff on plane if I had three people onboard. It has a 40 hp Mercury 4 Stroke motor which should have been more than enough power. I thought I would try this 4 blade Spitfire out. It was east to install, a DIY project for sure. I have yet to try it with 3 adults on board but with 2, it gets up on plane faster and has been working fine all summer in the bay.

Thanks to LEADERS RPM!
LEADERS RPM provided excellent customer service on my purchase. I bought a prop and it was not quite right for my boat. I took it in and they easily exchanged it for the correct one. No hassles, no headaches. I thought I would be hit with fees to exchange, but not the case. The guys in the parts department were very helpful. I say buy from leaders and if you have issues just give them a call. This prop, 10.3 x 13, was installed on a 16' 2001 smokercraft fishing boat with a 40hp mercury. Before this the prop was a michigan wheel 10x15 that provided 5000rpm, 27.6mph, and moderate hole shot. With the 10.3x13 spitfire the specs were 5600rpm, 27.6mph, and excellent hole shot. This was over the 5500rpm max on the 40hp. I ended up exchanging the prop for a 10.1x14 spitfire and achieved 5400rpm, 29.6mph, and excellent hole shot. Hopefully this review helps, it was tough to find detailed reviews on props for smaller outboards when I was looking. Thanks again to LEADERS RPM for their help.

It fit great. Planes off much faster than the factory 3 ...
Purchased this prop for my 2014 175txw with 60hp 4 stroke.. It fit great. Planes off much faster than the factory 3 blade. Lost some top end but I dont run wide open anyway so thats not really an issue for me. Shipping was faster than expected.. I recommend this prop.

Authentic and fit perfectly.
This comes with all of the needed parts for installation, including the internal rubber hub, which fit perfectly. My previous propeller was pretty beaten up. By the real reason I switched it out was because my rubber hub was "spun" and initially I had ordered just a new hub, but it did not fit even though it was supposed to be for my motor (not from this seller). So I tried again and decided to upgrade my propeller in the process from A3 blade to a four blade. I was pleased that this actually came with the rubber hub and all the needed parts for a complete replacement and fit flawlessly.

Great Prop!
Brings my 13" Boston Whaler Dauntless out of the hole like a rocket. But I also have a hydrofoil on the engine. Top end has no slow down at all, in fact the top speed is better. Great prop for my setup, If you find that you're not getting the same results, add a whale tail to your outboard.
