Almost like magic... both the impulse sealers and the after purchase service
So here’s my story... The short version... the sealers work and the people stand behind their product. The long one... I first bought the 8” sealer, mostly because it claimed a 10mm seal depth. I was making faces masks with N95 filter material and my 30+ year old vacuum sealer gave up the ghost.. so how did I get from vacuum sealers to impulse sealers... another story. So with the 8” sealer, I was so impressed when I was able to fuse the outer seams made up of three layers of fusible material including the N95 filter (3 fused layers on its own!) and a cotton outside facing... I can’t think of any bags I have ever seen that would be a more demanding job. Anyway, I was so impress with the 8” sealer I bought the 12” model just for the 5mm seal width, still making masks. To be honest, the 12” sealer had to work harder to fuse the four layers including the cotton outer facing material, but without going into the detail, I set up a suction system and vacuum sealed 4 one pound bags of ground sirloin, air tight at setting 3 with the 8” sealer and setting 4 with the 12” sealer. Worked like a charm. So a setting of 3-4 will give an air tight seal on a standard vacuum seal storage bag. Just testing... So, I can’t imagine any job these sealers would usually be used for that either one could not handle. But that is not the best of it folks. Obviously I was running these sealers often at their highest setting, when testing different patterns to get a good mask. Cutting out a lot of the detail, as I was replacing the heating element/wire and PTFE, on the 12” sealer, I ran into a snag. So when I got the sealer there were instructions that said if you have any problem contact us and we will get right back to you! BELIEVE IT! They not only got back to me, by the following day, they offered me replacements for both sealers. I had to explain there was nothing wrong with the 8” sealer just a small snag installing the heating wire on the 12” sealer. I asked for some extra parts to fix it myself and they sent me discount codes for coupons not just for the parts I figured I needed but a new 12” sealer. I sent an email explaining what I had done to fix my problem and the replay began with, we’re happy you fixed the problem temporarily and we’ll let you know when the 12” sealers are back in stock at Amazon. They estimate 5 days. When they say they stand behind their stuff, they mean it.

1st one deliberately miswired, replacement fantastic!
The assembly of the first unit I received was deeply concerning: the LED indicator did not come on, and the heating element did not heat up. I opened the bottom panel (which was installed upside down) and saw that the impulse timer was not connected to the circuitry in any way, and the wires which should connect to the timer were connected to each other with yellow heat shrink tubing (see top unit in photo). I believe the first unit I received was a returned unit which was "repaired" by an unscrupulous technician. I noticed the first unit was shipped without the original packaging, and did not include the extra heating elements and fuses. The replacement unit arrived with original packaging and included the extra items... And it is fantastic! I purchased this model to replace the last slightly less expensive model I had purchased and returned. The aluminum housing is much more robust than the previous model, which had a thinner metal/iron housing. The thinner housing created issues with the screw holes stripping. The copper transformer is huge compared to the last model, which was much less powerful. I measured the wattage using a smart power strip, and this model pulls approximately 850 Watts, compared to the last model's meager 280 Watts. Note that this is higher than the wattage listed in the description and on the side of the unit, but for my purposes that is a good thing. The heavier duty grounded cord/plug on this unit gives added peace of mind. This unit is a great value. Other vendors are selling similar units for almost twice the price, or more. Expect to see some minor cosmetic defects, and you may want to do some tweaking. The arm isn't always aligned perfectly. There is a small pin on the housing which mates with a hole in the arm bracket to align the arm during factory assembly, but the fit of the pin on the hole is not tight enough to ensure perfect alignment. The metal tab which depresses the mechanical "ON" switch can travel too far when depressing the arm with pressure, causing it to push against the housing of the switch and displace it slightly. These issues are likely present in any of the similar impulse sealers available. More industrious/neurotic customers will be able to adjust things to their satisfaction. The bolts securing the arm can be adjusted from inside the unit with a socket wrench to align the arm, and the travel of the metal tab can be adjusted by bending it slightly to engage the switch at the desired pressure without pushing against the switch housing. I recommend this impulse sealer for use with grain spawn bags. It seals 3 mil gusseted (4 layers) polyethyene grain spawn bags perfectly at the 4 second setting. I haven't tried polypropylene bags, or thicker 6 mil bags.

Works perfectly for my small business
Had it for awhile now. Works amazing. Pay attention if you have kids and make sure they don’t turn it all the way up though 😅 3 is perfect for regular Mylar bags and higher and it melts them

Good sealer for the price, but make sure it arrives working.
The first sealer I received was defective - no matter the setting it melted the bags. The arm was also not on straight so it didn't seal properly. The replacement was shipped quickly and the return was easy. The replacement is great - heats quickly and is consistent. It exceeded my expectations for the price.

The BEST sealer for mylar, especially THICK MYLAR!!!
I own a food saver and have bought and tried several other sealers I’ve seen on the market. None of seal as well as my LinsinField… the foodsaver doesn’t even begin to seal thick mylar. This sealer has multiple settings from low for chips and cereal (which NEVER go stale in my house now) to higher for the thicker items. I use it on 5 and it seals 9 mil mylar perfectly and I’ve tried to pull it apart and can’t!!! (Let it cool before you try to be safe but even as soon as I took it off the machine I couldn’t pull it apart.) Play with the temp but start low on thick things and work up till you find what works bc on thinner plastics it will melt all the way through. But you can do that on purpose if you want to “seal and cut” the end. We keep our on the counter and it’s super fast and easy to get some cereal or chips and then pop the bag on the sealer and seal it up. For thin stuff like that it takes ab 2-3 seconds and is sealed as good as when you bought it. (I used to do this with the food saver but my 12” sealer is more compact… I also own the 16” for bigger bags.) If using for long term storage I highly recommend the Pro model that does 5mm wide. It’s an amazing seal you won’t be disappointed in!!! The key is to follow the instructions. You don’t just flip it over til the light goes off…. I press it down and then put moderate pressure in the middle of the bar, especially on the 16” model (the top is cool and will not burn you), and then HOLD IT 6-8 SECONDS AFTER THE LIGHT GOES OFF!!! I’ll repeat that part, hold it 6-8 seconds AFTER it goes off. This hold time is the KEY for thick items. For your day-to-day items like chips and cereal this hasn’t been needed, just when sealing thick bags. I’ll be honest, 99% of the time only thing I used my food saver for was sealing day-to-day items and I have saved FAR more money in food that didn’t go bad than I spent on it. This is less expensive and seals far, far better! It also takes less space in the counter so you can leave it out to actually use it. Even without kids this sealer will save enough money to pay for itself in a year, probably less with the cost of food these days. In the near future I will post a couple videos so you can see why I like it so much. I rarely write positive reviews, mostly only when something sucks… but occasionally I am truly impressed with something and will make the effort bc I read reviews and know how useful they can be.

It works really well and it is very easy to use!
Wow, this works so well and it is super easy to use! This was my first time using a heat sealer and it really couldn’t get any easier than this. It is built like a tank! I love that it has a lifetime warranty and it even comes with spare fuses and replacement heating filaments. I mainly use this to seal coffee bags for the coffee that I roast. It makes for a very professional presentation.

Internals are Chinesium Junk.
This thing is the worst purchase I've made on Amazon. Based on the pictures and reviews, it LOOKS like a well made product with solid construction, and on recieving the item, I had thought that I had made a good purchase. I stored the item in its original packaging for around a month until I needed it today. Unfortunately this means that my window for replacement has passed. After opening the box, reading instructions, and plugging it in, I tried to seal my first bag. Much to my dismay, the sealer would not light up or heat up when I pressed the handle down. I figured the fuse was bad, so I replaced the fuse with one of the spares that was included with the package. This failed to fix the issue. Once I opened up the bottom plate to assess the situation, I was met with one of the worst electrical jobs on a new product that I've ever seen. The internal wiring is a tangled zip tied mess. The wire is brittle and the connections are terribly soldered. Like really poorly soldered. The plastic wire sheaths were not covering exposed soldered connections. The fuse housing is not locked into the frame of the sealer and spins freely. I'm sure the rattling around during transit had caused the wire to break. Honestly I'm glad it did not work for me upon first use because THIS THING IS A FIRE HAZARD. There's a couple milimeters distance between exposed positive and negative wires. Since I can't get a refund or replacement, I'll rewire it myself but I'm only going to use it temporarily since I'm time constrained and needed to use it today. If you're looking for an impulse sealer, get something else. Whoever designed and wired this up did not does not care about their product quality, as addressing these issues would be simple. It's no wonder they included extra fuse housings. These things must break all the time.

Très bon
Je l'utilise pour la culture de champignon et la bande scellante de 5mm est parfaite. Meilleur rapport qualité/prix

It doesn’t have a cutter
I Have to press it down several times to seal and it sticks to the bags. Perhaps I Should of bought one with the cutter

This is the real thing!...BECAREFUL there is an imitation of this model at 77$ out there.
The LINSNFIELD is far superior to the aluminum body imitation. It's heavy as it is made of steal therefore much more stable. Remember some of your Mylar bags are HEAVY. Heavy is BETTER!...NEXT ...look at the photos and you will notice that the LINSNFIELD has a screw adjustment at the forecrum and not a rivet which will loosen. You will regret buying an imitation. This will last and last and , .... no problems . You will appreciate the ease of this Sealer.

The best for mushroom bags
After using bad sealers for far too long, this one is fantastic for sealing mushroom grow bags. Heavy duty, and the 8mm seal means my days of sealing bags 3-4 times are behind me. Seriously, if you aren't sure what impulse sealer to pick up for your mushroom business, this is the one. It's worth spending the extra money. A magnet would be nice, but can't have everything
