Beck/Arnley 045-0401 Crankcase Vent Valve

Brand new and bad.. filled my exhaust with oil . Was just going to replace to do normal maintenance. And then entire garage filled with smoke for a few hours had to reinstall old one and drive for a while to clean old oil out . Gave 2nd start because at least they gave $back after returning item.. but save hassle and time and buy oem only.. after I bought I read other forums saying not to buy the beckarnley brand.. but other parts for other vehicles they make are not bad.. just this part is junk..

When I purchased this part two years ago, I received an item that was made in the USA. I received my order yesterday and it was made in China. I still used it but the car began smoking after being in service for about 20 minutes. I returned this and ordered another. When buying one of these valves, make sure you get the one that has the directional arrow molded into the plastic. The one that was made in the USA had this arrow and it has been working great for two years. The only reason I am replacing it is for preventative maintenance purposes.

This thing made my Jaguar have a misfire and nothing but white smoke coming out my exhaust on wide open throttle. Just buy OEM. This is junk

I installed this part and later on in the day my Range Rover sport was having so much white smoke. I thought I blew a head gasket but was not over heating, later a internet search showed me that other ppl where having the same issue with this part as they are now made cheap in china. I have returned it and spent the few extra bucks to get the OEM one which is $80 from fcp euro. lesson learned don't cheap out

Our LR3 with the 4.4 liter engine started smoking at start up. It would go away. But then it got tremendously worse and was effecting performance. Replacing this valve fixed the issue and now we have no more smoking issue. We did go ahead and give the vehicle a tune up a few days after the repair because the oil that this valve was allowing past it actually fouled at least one of the spark plugs out.

Do not buy. I replaced my PCV valve because the o-rings were hard. However, this part did not work at all and caused oil to be sucked straight into the manifold. The car smoked like crazy. Removed this part and replaced it with the OEM PCV and the problem was solved.

Don’t recommend using, I installed it on my LR3 and compared to the old one it was very loud!

Didn't work. There was a suspect hissing sound (like a vacuum leak) and the car eventually chucked a code. Put the old one back in, reset (removed) the codes, and everything was once again fine.
