This was very easy to install. It is working perfectly for me and has made my ironing much safer. You do have to make sure not to grind the screw tighter because grinding plastic screws makes them strip. Look at what you’re doing when you install it. Note that you have to pull out slightly in order to turn it down and it will turn down to either side.

Just installed it. Seems pretty robust. The screw to anchor seems to be the right size to hold it in place for years to come.

This does exactly what it's supposed to, but there are a few issues. The plastic tip for holding the cord seems pretty flimsy for installing and removing the cord. I have ziptied a large paperclip to the cord (with enough slack to iron) to attach to the tip and hope this will prevent it from snapping off. The base is a bit 'overengineered', with a 5/8" bolt to hold it on the ironing board. Overall, a good purchase.

Not too many use irons but I still do. This keeps the cord away from the item I am ironing. It is made very well and I'm glad I bought at the great price.

This is not a well made product. The top "hook" is too narrow to allow the iron cord to freely slide. Each pull on the iron and the whole thing moves to lay down in the storage position leaving the cord on the board in front of the iron which is exactly what it is supposed to be keeping from happening. I spent much of my time tangled in the cord. I wish I had just had my husband weld the broken rod of my forty year old one. It worked great. I can't recommend this product, but if you do get one put your iron cord through a key ring and attach that to the cord holder and at least that allows the cord to slide. It does not stop the whole thing from folding down into storage position.

Great little gadget been looking for one. Works really well

The top part that holds the cord is a soft plastic and it’s always popping off. The metal pole has a hook that the plastic piece fits over, but I can’t get it to stay on it. The slightest pressure from the cord and it pops off. Very frustrating because I had a cord holder similar in style for over 40 years that just finally broke. I sew and therefore do a lot of pressing. It’s very frustrating when your tools don’t work properly!

I have put off buying one of these for years...wish I hadn't. I sew a good bit and do quite a lot of pressing as a result. This little gadget makes my life so much easier, no more "Fighting" the cord. I put a 2"x2"x3/4" block of wood underneath my ironing board so this had something strong to attach to. It does not move at all! Very happy with this product.
