This is a great choice
to improve so-so water pressure. I bought my first one of these these 6 years ago to replace the lackluster showerhead at what was then a brand-new home. It worked great. But when I moved from there a few months ago, I couldn't find the original showerhead that came with the house so I had to leave the Speakman behind for the new owners. My new home has decent pressure but the showerhead didn’t deliver a strong enough flow. I really wanted something more powerful. For the past few months I've been reading the reviews here on Amazon on the various Speakman heads and some other brands. I held off buying one because it seemed like with every model, there were people who were disappointed. I was also concerned Speakman may have made changes to the head in the past few years since several people remarked it was difficult to figure out how to remove the flow restrictor and you had to be really careful. I finally decided a few weeks ago to buy this same model and couldn't be happier. What a difference it makes -- it really delivers a powerful flow making for a totally invigorating shower. It was very easy to remove the black "O" restrictor -- nothing to unscrew, just reach into the top with a needle nose pliers or long tweezer and gently remove it. It took my home maintenance person less than 3 minutes and I watched him closely as he did it. It took just another minute or two for him to replace the showerhead. The supplied tape is more than adequate. The existing shower arm and flange were strong enough to support it (knowing the Speakman would be heavier than the old head, I I bought a new one just in case, but will be returning it as it wasn’t needed.) When the old showerhead was removed, I saw that the flow restrictor was still in it. For comparison, before hooking up the Speakman, we removed the restrictor on the old head and hooked it back up. It did make a difference, which had me wondering whether I even needed a new showerhead as opposed to just needing the restrictor removed in the old one. Then we hooked up the Speakman. The Speakman was much so more powerful I had no doubts I made the right choice. It is really solidly built and I know from my old one it will last for years. So if your current showerhead is just ho-hum (as opposed to awful, which mine wasn’t, so I can’t speak to that) and you just want more power, I highly recommend this one and just removing the black ring restrictor.

For the pleasure of a great shower everyday, $140 is a good investment.
This is an amazing showerhead. I replaced a previous Speakman that only had 5 jets and the extra jets make a big difference! I'm glad I splurged and got this over the $50 versions. Install was super easy and the hardware is solid and very well made. I installed this and added a little shower wand. I wanted to buy the Speakman version but they won't sell it to me. I live in prison-state California where 1.75 is the max flow we can purchase. This faucet head is flowing well though and I highly recommend splurging for this quality showerhead.

Amazing Water Pressure and Versatile Spray Settings
I recently installed the Speakman S-2252 Signature Icon Anystream Shower Head in my bathroom, and it has completely transformed my shower experience. The high-pressure water flow is fantastic, and the 2.5 GPM setting ensures a strong, refreshing shower every time. The Anystream technology allows you to easily adjust the spray pattern, from a gentle rain to a more intense massage. I love how versatile the settings are, and the spray feels both luxurious and effective. The polished chrome finish looks sleek and modern, and the solid brass construction gives it a durable, high-quality feel. It was easy to install, and I haven’t experienced any issues with water pressure or leakage. Overall, this showerhead offers great value with its adjustable settings, excellent water pressure, and sturdy design. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their shower! Pros: Strong water pressure Multiple spray settings for customization Durable solid brass construction Easy to install Sleek polished chrome finish Cons: None so far

Definitely Powerful
Researched showerheads because I was tired of anemic performance. Pricey, but how many cheapos have you gone through over the years? Nice and strong, does not have 50,000 patterns that you never use anyway, uses up water at 2.5 gpm, and is a pleasure to use. Made our guest bathroom viable again. Curiously, we had the cartridge replaced in the rough-in in the wall, and it was so finicky with the old head, like you needed a micrometer to hit the sweet temperature spot, that I wondered if we were going to have to open up the wall and change that out. But nope; installing this made it right. Pressure/mix deal, I suppose. But this is a great showerhead. I was initially hesitant because the Speakman brand is in about a million motels and, quite honestly, very lackluster performance. Well, those must be the economy models sold to stingy motel chains by the pallet. This model is right on the money. Did I wish it was even more powerful? Yes, yes I do. Hence one star short of a full load. But...it could be what's in my wall.

Perfection!
Life's too short to take wimpy showers with cheap showerheads! I bought the Speakman 5 Jet: (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0028XHSHA/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1) several years ago and recently having moved we needed another showerhead in the new house. We took the 5 jet with us so now we have two Speakmans in the new house to compare. Some of the reviews on here complain about this showerhead not being strong enough. As far as I can see, the only way that could happen is they have lousy water pressure to begin with or they didn't take the water regulator out. We took the regulator out. (the black ring and the white thing) Just to comment on how ridiculous I think water regulators in showerheads are,...My opinion is that water regulators end up causing people to use even more water because it takes a lot longer to get rinsed off. Having had the 5 jet in our previous home that did not have great water pressure and then installing it in a home that does have great water pressure is definitely proof that this showerhead or any showerhead for that matter performs best with good water pressure to begin with. If anyone has found a showerhead that can perform miracles and create pressure out of lousy pressure I would love to know! There really is no comparison on the improvement of our old house verses this house, other than to say the shower experience went from good enough to invigorating. Now to compare the 5 jet verses 6 jet for those who are interested: Both showerheads are attached to a Multi-Pure shower filter: http://www.amazon.com/MultiPure-mpsffh-Shower-Filter/dp/B002ZP346U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367082517&sr=8-1&keywords=multi-pure+shower+filter (which by the way is fantastic) This will naturally slow the stream down a bit so I assume if they weren't attached to the filter, the spray would be even more powerful. They both give us a fantastic shower even with the filter slow down. I have to say honestly that I think the 5 jet in the above link may have even a bit more "zing" than this 6 jet. Maybe because there's one less jet to push water through? At nearly half the price you get a darn good shower, but the downside is that housing of the 5 jet feels like it's made of plastic whereas this Speakman s-2252 is not. I would say if that doesn't matter to you and you're on a tight budget, go with the other. If I had it to do over again I would still choose this one because it is solid and looks like it will last forever. I wanted to add that we leave both heads on the highest spray setting and don't care about using any of the other settings. They could have just as well left that feature off as far as we're concerned. I suppose maybe for rinsing hair out one of the other settings might be useful, but the high spray works great for that.

Best showerhead
Great showerhead, the best I've ever used. That's with the restrictor removed. With the way it comes by default with the restrictor in place it isn't that great, just average. But with with restrictor removed it's awesome, the best. Feels like a waterfall. Just adjust the handle setting to be more of a water pour and not the needles unless you happen to like a needle type spray. The little circular things on the showerhead that move will be outward instead of pulled inward with the spray setting that is more of a water pour drenching type spray. Love it.

Speakman Speaks for itself
Feels like a summer convective shower with 1.75" precipital water values. Perfect water strength and nice showerhead.

Best shower in 20 years
This shower head replaced an older Speakman purchased during the dark ages of the water flow restrictions. I had forgotten the raw luxury of having a large volume of water course over my body as I rinsed suds. As soon as the water hit me, I was catapulted into an ecstasy of warm, gentle water engulfing me. And, thanks to Donald J Trump for rescinding the water flow regulations that restricted me of my god given right to rinse myself. Lest you complain about wasting water resources, my domestic water supply is an artesian spring that flows at 20 gallons a minute or more and anything I don't use slips down a water course into a complex of streams and rivers. I think that using 2.5 gallons of water (vs 1.5 or 1.75) for a few minutes is not going to cause an environmental catastrophe in my lifetime.

Excellent Pressure and Performance—Top-Tier Shower Head
This is one of the best shower heads I’ve used. The build quality is solid, the spray patterns are effective, and the pressure is noticeably stronger than most standard options. Out of the box it performs very well, but if you remove the flow restrictor, the water pressure improves even further. Overall, a high-quality, reliable shower head that delivers excellent performance.
