The Magic of Flowers: A Guide to Their Metaphysical Uses & Properties Paperback – June 8, 2013

This book is so awesome. Plain and simple! Imagine my delight when so many of my precious flowers and shrubs were listed! The details in this book for such a large variety of flowers is truly astounding. It's evident that Tess took great care in really capturing the essence of each flower. The book is written in a way that her love of these amazing gifts from nature shines through in her words. What I loved most about the book is that it wasn't just a list of properties and uses. Tess wrote personal stories, shared historical facts, and gave tons of unique and magical suggestions. It is a wonderful book that I highly recommend to anyone with even the tiniest bit of interest in flowers.

I have been looking for a herbal book with all the listings of each herbs element, gender, planet, magical uses and the list goes on. I have at least 50 herbal book and this one is the best in my opinion. I have bought the e-book, and two regular books one for my son and I. I look forward to new books coming from this author because if the other books are anything like this one. The investment is going to be worth it.

This is a world of insight and intuition at your fingertips. It's inspiring, unique, one of a kind, calming and eye opening all at the same time. It's the best reference book I've ever bought. If you're ever wondered why you gravitate toward certain flowers and what they mean then this is a gem of a find. Goes well with her Magic of Flowers oracle deck.

I think the book was really good.It is easy read.It also has a lot of information. She covers a lot of flowers that you see everyday. So get the book and enjoy! Thank you Tess for your great work. Barbara

Many books about the magical and metaphysical uses or properties of plants, crystals, etc., simply give lists of associations and uses without any reasoning as to why, or even what folk tradition it comes from. This has always bothered me. Tess Whitehurst's book does the exact opposite. Her magical properties are derived from clear sources, whether historical, personal experience, or in relation to physical properties of the plant (this I find the most important). They also just "feel" right, as someone who has spent time with a lot of the flowers listed in the book. The selection of entries is also pretty great, as are the varied suggestions for how to work with each flower. A very, very good resource book!

A fun addition to my collection of books on the language of flowers. In this day and age with all of the trouble in the world, she encourages you to step back and enjoy gifts from God and helps you understand that to help make the world a better place, you need to make yourself a better person and your environment a better place.

Very informative book with many flowers and plants.Not much illustrations, but, it's good as so many things are written.Waiting for the next book! :)

I loved it. Full of interesting information if you are into magical properties of flowers this is really neat!

Disappointed really, the product arrived on time and in good order but is not as interesting or useful as I hoped it would be!
