This step is advertised a "Step for the Elderly & Disability Door Walking Stool for Outdoor Mobility Aid". However, this is a step for all abilities and all ages, including small children. If you have a large step up at the front door or a large step down at the back door, this solves all the problems for all ages. There is plenty of space for your feet so there is no need for hesitency if you are disabled or unsteady on your feet. It is definately none slip when it rains. They have though of everything. I cannot rate this highly enough. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. It is a sturdy, stable, brilliant product and I am wondering why I didn't buy one years ago. Don't hesitate, remember you don't have to be disabled to have one of these I am sure most households have the need for one of these.

Fabulous- I actually bought it to aid my16yr old dog who was struggling getting and out of the house. He found it challenging getting up or down the main high doorstep. He took a little coaching at first ( no more than 5 mins) once he realised it was a good idea, he uses it without hesitation. My aunt who visits also appreciated the extra help for access and exit. Bonus! Sturdy, non slip, quality product.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I bought this for my elderly mum for the front and back doors. They were a life saver at the time. But if 2 years they managed to slip slightly. So she gave them to my sister. And got permanent one's.

I measured the width of my door, ive got the step outdoors, The top has a non slip surface. Very stable the height is perfect for use. I like how safe it is. You can use it inside and out.

We have a deep third step from our decking onto a path and were finding it more and more difficult to manage it safely. This was the perfect answer as it provides security and is easily tucked under the step if need be. It has proved a godsend for us and has avoided the need for carpenters etc. to rebuild the steps. We also have one at the shower entrance which has a high step. This too has proved invaluable and safe and it can be tucked out of sight easily if not in use (I actually put it in the bath). All in all these steps are great find and I wouldn't be without them now. Such a simple solution to what could be a major safety issue.
