This can surprise you
I basically bought this for watching BBC nature documentaries since my TV's inbuilt speaker had hard time delivering clear dialogues but I think this Signa S2 is overkill for that purpose. I should have gone for Signa Solo which was selling for 8k during sale (including bank discounts). Now coming to it's capabilities. FORMAT IT PLAYED : Dolby digital, Dolby digital plus, DTS, DTS-HD (Master Audio) and many other formats except Dolby TrueHD & Atmos where TV displayed something like "audio not supported in this video". My biggest concern was if it can play DTS files and it plays them brilliantly. I felt DTS sounded better than Dolby but it may be due to higher bitrate of dts files. VOCALS are amazing. Super clear. Actually whole sound speactrum is too clear with great instrument separation that you will be able to distinguish between different sounds/instruments being played. High notes tone (Tweeters) are just pleasant to listen to. Polk's Voice adjust feature is extremely beneficial and works as advertised. But since soundbar produces such crisp and clear sound I never felt to use that feature but I tried just to test it out and it worked great. It easily fills 15x20 room with just 50% volume that you would feel like sitting in a theater. Now coming to BASS: It's the most controversial part with Signa series soundbar. When playing dolby movies (I played Batla House and Justice league) the rumble was so huge even at low base level setting that it literally felt like being in the scene of the movie. The rumble penetrated 3-4 walls in my house and could be felt beyond 30 feet. When Polk says "Deep Bass Technology" they are truly honest with their claim. Bass felt like Sub-bass most of the time than normal Bass. Bass is what you can hear, Sub-bass is what you feel in your whole body. I also noticed there was no down firing driver in the sub. When you place your hand near sub you will barely feel anything even while producing THAT deep Bass rumble in action scene. Bass effect is more like 3D and feels like PVR cinema at home. These guys (Polk Engineers & Scientists) know the science of sound and are Master of acoustics so they have done something there in the Bass department. Now the controversial part of NO BASS. It occured mostly during streaming music via Bluetooth or even while playing directly from TV. Bass was so loose & non existent (70% of the time) that one would easily get disappointed. Only thing about the bass present during music is some "air pressure type" loose Bass ,which you can only hear, without having any body, depth, weight or punch. But when you watch dolby/DTS movies Bass will just shock you in many ways that you won't be able to believe yourself. One can easily feel that Super deep Punch and weight with 3D effect. So there's definitely some improvement to do in that Bass department but it won't affect your experience during watching any movie. For music lovers I would suggest to go for Magnify Mini rather than Signa S1/S2. It was very easy to install and I used HDMI Arc to connect to my TV. Using Polk's remote I can turn on Bluetooth ,connect with my OnePlus 7 and stream. I actually enjoyed listening to music since I rarely listen to Bass heavy songs ,so Bass issue never bothers me. I got it for around 14k so it's Value for Money for me and actually delivers more than what I paid for. I received 4 power cables (2 two-pin & 2 three-pin). Received all other accessories like optical cable,HDMI cable, remote, batteries. Thanks for reading my review. Cheers ;)

Polk SIGNA 2. I must say i am not disappointed at all
After purchasing a new Samsung 4K 50'' tv I was mainly looking for a Good Sound Bar to boost the Sound Quality of the TV. Since it was a TV/Sound bar for the bedroom i wanted to keep it economical with Quality Sound. After doing a ton of research I decided to go with the Polk SIGNA 2. I must say i am not disappointed at all, It does have HDMI, Bluetooth and you should plug it into the HDMI (ARC) on your tv. The sound bar and sub is perfect for a medium sized room. Base is more than enough and speech and minor sounds come through clearly. Watched movies in Dolby surround and watched regular streaming SDR/HDR content and the soundbar and sub handled almost everything. The set up was effortless and the wireless sub connected in seconds. The sound bar also comes with a paper template and has screw holes in the back so I mounted it without an issue and it looks great. All thatโs left is to get some wire hiders. Bottom line if you are looking for a budget friendly soundbar with a sub from a reputable speaker manufacturer look no further. Just a point to Note : It does not handle Distortion well, however does very well overall on the Music and Movie front being a budget Sound Bar.

Good performing Soundbar, with a superb sound output ! A winner for its price !!
This is my first POLK audio purchase ever, and it came after I returned a JBL 2.1 Soundbar which failed to impress my ears. I was skeptical about POLK, as I had not heard them but took a risk and ordered following the positive reviews online. The first thing we expect from premium and exclusive audio brands is clean and great sound output. Easy to setup and solid and premium built quality, Polk Signa S2 surpasses this benchmark comfortably as the audio output is clean, no major dips or boost in frequencies, smooth crossovers and has got a great sub woofer which produces clean bass without being boomy. It doesnt go below 45 Hz but I would hardly mind that. I loved the overall balance of sound at "Movie" mode, which works better for me for movies and music as well. The biggest problem is the lack of a display or indication of sound level and bass level on soundbar, but I would prefer better sound over feature richness. The "Night" mode works very well compared to other soundbars, reducing low frequencies and output for a soothing sound especially for late night binge watching. There is no virtual surround and I never noticed any surround effect as claimed, but the separation between Left and right is decent enough. The biggest irony with other audio brands like JBL is that they have gone into marketing war and wattage or power output/loudness is their key selling and comparison point. Polk, on the other hand refuses to do so, which is fair as it does not decide quality of amp or transducer. This soundbar is sufficiently loud for normal ears and mid sized room. You can listen to it for hours at normal levels without feeling exhausted on eardrums or brain. A very good upgrade to TV sound, for its price(โน15.5K) and form, its a very well worth!

Polk the beast of sound!!!
For what is worth, the simplicity attached to this Polk Audio Signa S2 is really the main reason why I am really falling in love with it. Though the performance is great too but then, the simplicity in its appearance and the kind of quality it boasts of is good. It could really be a great buy for a soundbar for best sound effects and I like it. Coming to connectivity it's pretty easy to set up manually. I have connected to my hisense 4k Tv through hdmi arc. Also have tried using optical cable and worked fine. I didn't find huge difference in sound output using optical cable. But HDMI will be lightly par ahead of sound what I noticed in this soundbar. Coming to bass, it's simply mind-blowing and produces awesome bass in the subwoofer. My living hall is 15*20 and it produces excellent sound effect and powerful bass. While checking the bass through dobly format songs and movie clips , it rocks and can feel the thunder!!! Thanks polk for it. Only dislike I felt is either bar or woofer could have digital sign rather using 4 different lights which are used for connectivity considering the price. And the remote could have been better ( disappointed for me as the signs are in Chinese language) Final conclusion on this soundbar is better' go for it without second thought. It is worth every money and far good as Sony, JBL and equal to expensive bose systems.

Good Sound bar
Sound quality is very good Feels like we are in pvr Through HDMI sound quality is very good I have connected this to my samsung 4k uhd tv It's very compact one we can keep below the tv it doesn't obstruct the TV's operation in turn it enhances the look Subwoofer is good and and deep bass When I thought of buying a sound bar I never heard this polks But when gone through the reviews I decided to buy Because I never INTERESTED to make holes on the wall so I bought Finally it's a good one Cons; 1)No digital display when we select HDMI, optical or other options 2) we can not see volume nos on tv They have to give some updates through online

Just what wanted
I bought this after reviewing BDV e3200, ht iv 300, rt40, rt 500, jbl 2.1. I had no idea before purchasing how it sounds it was a gamble. But iam happy I made right choice. It is very good speaker system. Sound is crystal clear and you here many notes which went missing when watching with tv speakers or many high end speakers. It has amazing feature of increasing voice, it feels like real theater. It is loud. 5.1 system needs wiring and setting of speakers which is very cumbersome and wireless 5.1 are way costlier. This has easy setup extremely good sound. If you are not getting bass then synchronised your bass system with bar method is given in brochure. People usually buy 5.1 and place all speakers in front. If one is going to do that then this is best system one can buy.

IGNORE ALL THE PERFECT REVIEWS!
Inspite of all the perfect and good reviews, You still shouldnโt buy this soundbar. I have returned it 2 times- first time it came, it was in damaged box with cardboard ripped apart so I straightaway refused the order. Second time also it came with a box that had been opened and also had double tape in it (it was resealed). But I took the risk and accepted it anyways not knowing it was the biggest mistake. At first it seemed factory fresh and fine and looked brand new only and worked well but during the burn in period. The speakerโs started to distort mainly the small tweeter drivers. It cracked and buzzed so cheaply even on tv and bluetooth modes. Many speakers distort but this was clearly noticeable and I had to return it back. After returning I got the Jbl mk2 which has a better bass and overall better sound output than this. So i would suggest to buy jbl or samsung soundbars as this is an old product now(5 years). And is highly not recommended by me especially because your paying 20k+ for a speaker which is used and returned by many. You are not even getting a sealed pack unit like other sellers give. In the attached video you can clearly hear the distorted tweeter crossover drivers. And being an audio phile and paying this much for speakers and not getting a good product hurts.

High priced Sound bar with good sub woofer
Pros: 1. Better sound may be due to better signal processing with digital inputs. 2. Voice clarity good with 3 levels. (default mode is Movie Mode on initial start) 3. Sub woofer and sound bar sync well, felt better with movies and EDM 4. Bluetooth works well with auto shifting when enable Bluetooth peer. Cons: 1. It is over priced for 2.1 Sound bar. 2. No indication of volume or bass levels on sound bar (with HDMI ARC CEC show volume level on TV) 3. No HDMI IN port (HDMI ARC out port works with TV) consumes one HDMI of TV 4. Goes in to sleep mode when we mute TV for a while, to wake up need to press power on/off either in TV remote or sound bar. 5. Can't feel 5.1 surround , It just decodes it (something is better than nothing for 5.1). overall good sound bar after one month usage..brought for 15,999/- As mentioned on package i registered product on polk channel partner PRO FX pvt ltd website (expecting lucky win for Denon sound bar), no acknowledgement from PRO FX till now for product registration, at least expecting good support on warranty from PRO FX Tech Pvt Ltd //Audio Distribution House Pvt Ltd.

Sounds well
Sounds OK , solid , good bass and mediums, but lacks of trebles. Good for the price , if you are looking for astonishing sounds it is not your soundbar.

Sounds great for the price
This soundbar doesn't really provide surround or any immersion type imaging. However, I got it to replace my awful TV speakers and it does it in spades. I especially like the crisp character of the treble. It sounds great with music too, it's a soundbar with a small subwoofer though so don't expect stadium sound. A little side story. I got a Sony soundbar for the bedroom. You almost have to be a technician to make the thing work. It comes from the factory with Bluetooth deactivated and you have to reset it and it's really a pain. With the Polk I was up and running in 10 minutes.

Just what I was looking for.
I bought this on the advice of Choice, the Australian consumer organization that tests just about everything and this came #1 in the soundbar test. First of all the soundbar arrived a week earlier than quoted. It was easy to set up, however if you have an older tv without the HDMI ARC output then you'll need both the HDMI cable as well as the optical cable, both supplied. The cordless subwoofer connected itself to the soundbar and that was it. It had a nice deep smooth sound and it really does make a difference hearing the dialogue on tv. I'm happy with it and I consider it good value for money. I would certainly recommend it.
