This is my second time purchasing this product -I came back because of how well it worked however, I am going through some medical issues and my hair has changed a lot. My hair is dyed blonde with heavy grey at my temples and greying through out (currently covered). I have a medium thick strand with some wave. I do struggle with dry ends as I live in a very dry state. I used it on dry hair and left it on for about 7-8 minutes. I have a comparison photo below and a video of the product to show how it comes. Next time, I think I will leave it on a smidge longer as the results look good but somewhat patchy. I am confident this is due to timing and how I applied. Overall, even with the somewhat uneven result, I am really happy with it. My hair smells good, feels soft, and the color is far better. I have heavy greying at my temples and am maybe 1/3 grey through out, though currently dyed, I know from previous use it will absolutely make that grey shine so be mindful of that's not what you are trying to highlight. The product appears to be a dark blue/purple and goes on thick. Do not be shy! Lather away. Absolutely use the gloves and wipe away anything on your skin or you will be a smurf. Also, word of warning, be very mindful of any porous, light colored tiling, grout, clothing, towels, or countertop material as it will stain. Pros: Easy to apply/quick result Beautiful, platinum hue (on my hair type) Smells good Vegan material Soft/conditioned feel on my hair type (medium thickness/slight wave) Cons: Will stain skin and surfaces without care Appears some mixed results due to length of time varience in application

This is review is for anyone with red tones, anyone else with a little brass, stop reading and just buy it. I decided to box bleach my hair after 19 years of dying my hair with darker red tones. I am a natural brunette. Against what my gut was telling me, I went for it. The results were better than anticipated but still looked a bit like a highlighter. I was looking for something to tone it down that was reasonably priced and would get here QUICK. I ordered this and arrived 2 days later. I couldn't wait to fix my hair. I opened the box and the insert immediately said it will not work on red tones. 😑 well..... it cant hurt either.... right? So I went for it. This was the best thing ever. The moisture was unbelievable, and it helped to tone down my red/orange. Now, it didnt make it disappear, as it stated its not for reds, but it helped ALOT! The repair benefits were amazing. A few weeks later I used permanent toner to get the shade I was looking for and tried other purple products to maintain color. Well... Im back and never leaving again. Skip the purple shampoo and conditioner, forget the other masks. When I tell you I have been through 3 other masks and 2 different brand shampoo and conditioner and nothing compared to the results of Bold Uniq. I use all of my old products and just added this to my routine every 2 washes (I wash every 3 days). I will not try another product.

Are use this for the first time last night. Are used it on dry hair and applied it first at my scalp and then threw out to the end I made sure to flip my hair over and get the underside of all my hair. I left it on about seven minutes, and then thoroughly rinsed. I did spray a tiny bit of leave in conditioner after just to make sure I could comb through it. However I noticed that this product almost worked as a conditioner in that I didn’t really need to use my detangling spray. The smell was subtle but nice fresh and clean smelling. I have lots of brown pretty much light brown and about 70% highlighted hair. What I received for results were my blonde was definitely platinum-ish, and my brown seem to blend nicer with it rather than having a two toned affect. I love this because it will allow me to go longer in between coloring my hair. I also love the way it looks so much less brassy and more natural. I’m going to use it again on wet hair and see how it works that way and update. However I think it works fine on dry hair unless I guess your hair was totally bleached blonde then possibly may give you more purple tones I didn’t really notice any purple tones in my hair. I’m very satisfied with this product especially since my hair felt soft and smelled great and I didn’t notice any breakage on my comb at all which I normally do get some breakage. All in all this is a great product I love especially I’m going to use it again on wet hair and see how it works that way and update. I have natural “dirty blonde” hair but I get platinum highlights to lighten up the blonde. I hate the brassy/yellow tone it turns after a while. My go to purple shampoo hasn’t been doing it’s job recently so when I searched for a new one and came across this purple hair mask, I decided to give it a shot. When I first opened it, the smell was not pleasant and I’ll have to agree with the other comments on here that it does have a chemical like smell. I was still going to give it a shot despite the smell. I followed the instructions, (except I skipped the “test strand” part lol) washed my hair, towel dried it and then applied the mask and left it on for the least amount of time, 5 mins. After rinsing it out really well and towel dried my hair, I sprayed some heat protectant in my hair, blow dried it then straightened it. Y’ALL, ORDER THIS HAIR MASK!!! My hair was so soft, I had no frizz and my platinum highlights were back! I couldn’t stop touching my hair. It looked like I just walked out of the salon. My coworkers even asked if I just got my hair done. As for the smell, my hair didn’t smell like the hair mask at all. Next time I’ll leave the mask on for a little longer to get every bit of brassy tone out of my hair. I will definitely be repurchasing. It worked really well! I am not sure why this only has a 4.3 star overall rating because this stuff is amazing! I go every 3 months to get my hair professionally done and my hair dresser can not believe how bright and blonde my hair still is when I use this! Over the last couple months I tried some other products that were rated higher than this from the salon and I was not getting the same results! I asked my hair dresser any other options he could suggest and he told me to go back using whatever it was before because he couldn’t believe how great my hair was when I used it! My trick is use a good clarifying shampoo and conditioner once a week and use my deep purple pigment d shampoo and then this product after my other washes! My hair has never been so blonde and bright! When I use this I put it on damp hair and let it sit for 20 minutes each time and the results are just amazing !!!

Like many of you, I saw all the reviews for this and hoped it would kick the brass in my lightened hair. My second bleach + tone appointment in the last 3 months was 10 days ago, and was all a good color at first; buttery with platinum streaks and a root tap. I have a lot of very fine hair, naturally dark brown with warm undertones. Something happened since to make some of it go brassy weirdly fast, especially near the roots. My colorist suggested a purple mask to tide me over until our next session in 7-ish weeks, trying to focus most of the product on my roots. It seems like there are three options based on all the reviews (which I read a TON of): 1) it works amazingly 2) it works *too* well and turns hair lavender 3) it doesn’t make a difference Not much of a loss either way for me, so I went for it. The instructions say to wash hair with shampoo & towel dry, then put the mask on for either 3-5 min or 10-20 min depending on your hair & the results you want. I decided to leave it on longer, after reading other reviews. I don’t mind if my hair gets a little purple for a few days (the instructions kindly include de-purpling advice if you don’t want that, which is nice of them!). It ended up closer to 30 minutes because I got distracted, and therefore was CONVINCED there would be a huge difference & probably be somewhat purple. I was so surprised to see otherwise!! I let my hair air-dry; when it was wet it looked a little better/less brassy than normal, but once it fully dried, there was hardly any difference, not to mention it was a bit dry at the ends (so weird!). I’m going to try again and just leave it for an hour this time (will update my review after that), but if that doesn’t work either, I’m just going to return it. Possible bonus for those of you who are interested: you can make a DIY toning leave-in conditioner by mixing a fingertip’s worth of this stuff with a few squirts of leave-in conditioner, or regular conditioner + water (mixture in your hands should be pale purple). It softens and isn’t sticky, and is a decent last-ditch effort to make this stuff worthwhile for those it doesn’t work well for. All that being said, I do think it’s a good product. It’s not drying, it washes out easily, it doesn’t drip, it smells alright, and it is very pigmented. I think the reviews & results differ so drastically because of different user’s hair porousness/absorbency. Maybe it didn’t work well on me because my hair is a dimensional blond with darks, and it just isn’t strong enough without bleach to tone my stubborn yellows? Who knows. You won’t know how it works for you until you try it.

My hair is very dark and I bleached it using Bleach Please from ArtcticFox and it left my hair looking so orange, brassy. Figured with the reviews to give this product a try. The roots will still be orange/brassy on top, cause it was the last thing I did with my hair while bleaching. But the rest of it, is less orange and more yellow tone blonde. Which is way lighter than it was before. This was after my first time around. I also used 2/3 (almost the whole entire bottle) of the container cause I have a lot of hair. Not too thick, but a lot. So, I may have a tiny bit more left to mess with the top at least and see if more can be removed. But for now, I am very pleased with this product. Update: I organized my pictures to show better the before, during and after the first and second time using this product. I barely had enough to cover a lot of the area that I wanted to mess with second time around but, I got just enough to see what it can do second time around. And my hair is actually really blonde at this point. The roots as I mentioned were the last thing that I bleached, and those are going to go back to dark after I dye my hair, so I'm not too worried about them but I still was curious to what this product can do for my hair. I have had it every color of the rainbow and between the bleach and this product, a lot of my purple and green dyes are almost extinct and I'm so excited to have like a clean slate of a canvas to mess with again. Since it's been two years since I last bleached my hair. During that time period I over bleached it cause I didn't know about product like this that can light my hair without overly bleaching it. The bleach proves left my hair a little dry, it wasn't suppose to but I been doing a lot of hair treatments after I used this product. This product I think also helped a bit with making my hair super soft, but like I said I been doing a lot of hair treatments to give it some life again. My hair has never looked so good, feel so good after bleaching it. I can't wait to dye it with my funky colors in a few days. Ive used this mask a handful of times, all from the same jar so amount alone is a good deal. However, following the instructions, it didnt ever have the impact i was aiming for and i still felt like I needed to run to sallys for a proper toner. This time, out of sheer laziness and an unwillingness to go to the store or wait for an order, i decided to try this mask on dry hair and see how it went. It worked! I left it on for about 10 minutes on dry, honey blonde hair. It came out with the beautiful champaigne blonde i was aiming for. If and when i buy myself another jar of this, i will be using it exclusively on dry hair bc on wet hair, it barely did anything for me. My ends are lighter so the bottom of my hair took the toner more and a few strands look almost lavender but ik that will wash out pretty quick, and its cute anyway (;

Nachdem ich vor ca. 8 Jahren mit blonden Strähnen anfangen habe, dann zu Ombré und anschließend Balayage gewechselt habe, bin ich mittlerweile bei einem wasserstoffblonden Bob angelangt. D.h., dass ich also viel Erfahrung mit Blond, Blond-Pflege, Silber-Shampoos, Kuren, &&&& habe. ;-) Ich habe in den Jahren wirklich etliche Produkte ausprobiert und will gar nicht wissen wie viel Geld ich dafür insgesamt ausgegeben habe. Vieles war aus der Drogerie (Swiss-O-Par, Guhl), zuletzt aber verstärkt Friseur-Produkte, die leider nicht gerade günstig waren (z.B.: L'Oreal Profesionnel, Wella System Professional, Mangala Tönungskur von Glynt). Ich muss sagen, nichts davon war der Bringer für mich, am ehesten vllt. noch die Mangala Kur. An allen diesen Produkten hat mich am meisten das ewige Einwirken genervt. Ich habe im Alltag einfach nicht die Zeit und Lust mein Shampoo oder Spülung 20min und mehr einwirken zu lassen. Ohne das lange Einwirken hatte man aber einfach quasi 0,0 Effekt. Mit dieser Haarmaske habe ich aber ENDLICH ein gutes Produkt für meine Pflege gefunden, das wirklich das tut was es soll: Den Gelbstich neutralisieren- und zwar sofort! Ich benutze die Kur bei jeder, bis jeder zweiten Wäsche und lasse sie ca 2 bis max. 5 min einwirken, das reicht bei mir vollkommen! Für den Beginn würde ich empfehlen die Maske lieber zu kurz als zu lang zu tragen- ich habe es tatsächlich auch schon einmal geschafft meine Ponysträhnen komplett ergrauen zu lassen. Beim Auftragen deswegen auch unbedingt darauf achten die Maske gleichmäßig und sorgfältig in die Haare einzuarbeiten, ggf. dafür einem Kamm benutzen. Neben dem Silber-Effekt finde ich auch, dass sie sehr gut pflegt, meinem mehrmals voll blondiertem Haar sieht man die Strapazen wirklich nicht an. Es ist glänzend, fast schon seidig und ich habe weder Spliss noch Haarbruch (schone es aber auch wo ich kann). Auch Grund dafür wieso ich die Kur jetzt wieder nachgekauft habe. Wer allerdings wirklich einen Färbe-Unfall/ Experiment hatte oder fleckiges Blond hat, dem empfehle ich aber ganz klar eine professionelle Farbkorrektur beim Frisör. Da die Kur logischerweise auf jeder Grundfarbe gleich stark reagiert, kann sie so etwas natürlich nicht ausgleichen... ist ja auch kein Zaubermittel. Alles in allem von mir alle Daumen nach oben!

Bought this and 3 other products to help me maintain a grey hue on my highlights and low and behold it works, uswd 4 times from the jar and finished it, i have medium lenght air, bot an impressive mane by all accounts tho. So i super recommend it, for me it worked, my highlights are delightful and it lasts for about 4 washes after. Hair is quite soft after it, albeit a tad of dry ends, but gor that i use oil. So try it, wash ur hair as usual, towel dry for a minute and then apply. I left it on each time about 10-12 minutes as i wanted a deeper gray...was secretly hoping for purple but did not get it.

This is my second time purchasing this product. I have naturally brown here which I dye blonde professionally. However, my hair tends to naturally turn a very golden or yellow hue in a short time (Even if I use purple shampoo fairly regularly). This product is like a deep clean of purple shampoo. It's softens, and it helps keep my hair looking bright or closer to a platinum rather than golden blonde. It comes with gloves which are recommended to use as the purple pigment does temporarily stain your hands. I have not had a problem washing that color off my hands, but some may. It has a pleasant, subtle smell that doesn't overpower. It's also very nice touch that the bottle itself is made out of recycled plastic. One jar last may about to to 3 months. As I only use it every other week.s. That's all I need to use it for to maintain the results I want. Using it too often can leave my hair a more gray/dingy color (common with all purple pigment hair products). When I use it as a conditioner, it helps with detangling my dry and thick hair.
