great fit, worked perfectly for me
I ordered the short version. I"m 6' with fairly long legs for my height. I'm having ankle surgery and this fit perfectly to cover my temporary splint. At first I didn't think it could possibly stretch over the splint and fit my thick calf. My splint stayed perfectly dry. Sure beats a plastic trash bag.

Satisfied without reservation
This item has worked very well. I am 5' 11" tall and I temporarily have to keep my entire left leg dry when I shower, and this rubber sleeve does the job. Money well spent.

Does the job for showering
I purchased this after an unfortunate fall down my steps ended in a broken left ankle and broken right foot. So far, so good. I've used it for showers only and have not had any issues.

Great product with SAFETY precautions
I purchased the short leg adult Cast Cover product to enable me to swim in the pool following a foot injury to both feet. I have a fiberglass cast with a synthetic (non-cotton) liner. The Cast Cover was easy to put on and remove. The waterproof seal was very effective and no water seeped thru during an active two hour test. I am impressed.I accidentally created a small pinhole puncture when I put the Cast Cover on. I believe this puncture was caused by one of the fiberglass threads at the end of my cast but it may have been something else. This pinhole puncture did NOT become a problem and I never bothered to repair it. It may let air out but didn’t really let water in.This Cast Cover delivered beyond my expectations and allowed me to swim during my recovery!HOWEVER, there are a couple issues that are not obvious - and there are significant SAFETY CONCERNS especially if used by children.First, it is important to consider the type of cast you will be covering to determine the significance of water damager in the event water does enter the cast. During swimming activities there are countless ways that water can enter or come in contact with the cast, not limited to the time actually swimming. Depending on the type of cast the consequences vary significantly and can threaten healing, cause scars, and compromise the integrity of the cast itself. Water must never remain in contact with the skin for prolonged periods. Water can also cause hidden infection that can be very, very serious. The inside of the cast must dried completely if it becomes damp for any reason.WARNING: Second, a cast displaces more water than it weighs which makes it float in water - like a water wing. When the Cast Cover is added there is additional buoyancy. In my case, the cast covered my feet which caused my feet to float and the rest of my body would hang upside down in the water. TO AVOID DROWNING it was necessary to use Water Noodles to keep the upper half of my body afloat. The kicking and struggle to keep myself upright was also much more stress than I considered safe for my broken feet. Needless to say this is VERY DANGEROUS and can KILL YOU. The only remedy I envision would be a 5 to 10 pound rock or lead weight inside the Cast Cover for each foot to neutralize the buoyancy. After the first few swims the buoyancy and stress problems mentioned above didn’t bother me so much.

works great, kept my wound dry
The doctor recommended one of those super wide ones that are clear.I got one, but only for my ankle, but the bandages after surgery came up higher, so I couldn't use it.I bought this on a whim, it looked less awkward. It's great, a lot less bulky. It does seal at the top, but I used hospital tape to double seal it, just in case. That's fine by me, if I can get away from using that other stupid one.I hang it up to dry after the shower, it stays clean.

Very HARD to use!
This cast cover is IMPOSSIBLE to put on over ANY KIND OF BRACE/BOOT! I worked and stretched and pulled within reason before I could get it over my cast and boot! EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO USE! I purchased another companies product that works much much better!

Works great!!
A little $$ for a piece of rubber but it works. My cast stayed dry 100% just as the PT said it would...

Well But Circumferences Size is Way Off
I bought the short leg cover because of a serious wound on my leg. I measured carefully and decided that I needed the Adult Short Leg size as the area around my knee measured almost 16 inches. The size chart indicated that it went up to 16 1/2 inches. I bought it to do water aerobics but found that I could only stay in the pool for 15 minutes as it was cutting off my circulation. I can use it to shower if I do it quickly. I am really disappointed with their inaccurate sizing as I wanted to get back in the pool. Beware of the sizing. As an update, I called the company, and they are sending me an X Large child’s size which is one inch larger than the adults size. They did not know why mine was too small but want to make it right! Kudos to them!
