Matching a collection
I was trying to match a piece from my mother's old collection. It was just a tiny bit larger than the original. Her piece didn't have the handles, but the handles are a nice feature.

I LOVE this dish. So pretty, so versatile, and really easy to clean! The lid seems very fragile, so I’m really careful when washing it or handling it, but it’s held up fine so far.

A little disappointing but looks like it will do the job
The pot looks fine but the top looks a little cheap and fragile. The glass lid does not have a metal border ring and seems flimsy. My fear is breakage or chipping . I will have to be very careful when handling -especially when washing.

Defective
I love this cassarole and take food in it to church potluck - until my husband set it on the back of the truck and drove off. That one he broke came from a Corning outlet store up in Maine for $20. So I came here for a new one. Stickershock! But I ordered it anyway. The lid is defective. It doesn't even fit the dish. It's so small it almost falls in, and it doesn't sit flat. I'm returning it and going to give them another try. If the new one is the same, I'm giving up on it.

I use Corning ware more than any other baking dishes because they are high quality, they last forever , they are oven to table, and they look good. This is my favourite baking casserole in shape and size

Nice Corning Ware Dish
We've owned a number of Corning Ware products over the years and they have lasted for many years. We had a 2.5 quart dish but it didn't have handles so we ordered this one and it seems to be of similar quality. The only thing we noticed was that there is a number of symbols stamped on the bottom that indicate what appliances it can or cannot be used with. I really don't know what all the symbols mean but there was no mention of any limitations in the Amazon product detail description. See the picture just in case there is something that might be a limitation for you.
