High-quality coffee with great flavor and freshness.
I really enjoyed the Lavazza ¡Tierra! Organic Whole Bean Coffee. It has a very smooth, clean flavor with low bitterness and a nice balanced aroma. For a light roast, it still has plenty of flavor without tasting weak or acidic. The beans were fresh and produced a rich, pleasant smell as soon as the bag was opened. It works especially well for drip coffee and espresso machines, giving a smooth cup with subtle fruity and floral notes. I also appreciate that it’s organic and sourced with sustainability in mind. Compared to some lighter roasts, this coffee is easy to drink daily and doesn’t leave a burnt or overly strong aftertaste. If you prefer bold dark roasts, this may feel a little mild, but for a smooth morning coffee it’s excellent. Overall, a high-quality coffee with great flavor and freshness.

Classic Lavazza Experience
Navigating commercial light roasts can sometimes be a gamble, but Lavazza’s ¡Tierra! Organic for Planet hits a highly precise sweet spot. It’s a 100% Arabica blend sourced from Central and South America, and the 2.2 lb bag provides excellent yield for daily use. What stands out immediately upon opening the bag is the structural integrity of the beans. There is no surface oil a great indicator of a true light roast meaning the beans are primed for a remarkably clean extraction. When dialing in the grind size and monitoring temperature parameters on an espresso machine, the yield is fantastic. The careful roasting process preserves the volatile aromatics beautifully; you get distinct floral and fruit notes up front, without the harsh, unbalanced acidity that often plagues lighter commercial beans. If you are treating your morning brew with a bit of methodical precision, this coffee responds incredibly well. For those who prefer immersion methods like a French press or cold brew, the extended contact time allows the subtler honey and malt complexities to fully develop in the background. Pros: Clean Extraction: Beans are dry and uniform, perfect for calibrating your grinder without clogging it. Complex Profile: Highly successful preservation of delicate floral and fruit volatiles. Ethical Sourcing: USDA Organic and Rainforest Alliance certified, ensuring sustainable agricultural practices. Cons: Not for those seeking a heavy, dark-roast "punch" or a bitter, bold finish. Bottom Line: This is a fantastic baseline bean for anyone who appreciates the underlying chemistry of a well-balanced, high-quality coffee. Highly recommended for those who like to control their brewing parameters to get the most out of their cup.

Very Tasty light roast coffee worth trying.
This is very good light roast coffee. I enjoy the taste of it. I feel it’s worth buying and trying if you are thinking about it. You will not be disappointed.

Flavorful but strong
This is a very flavorful coffee. However, it is very strong in flavor. I found that one tbsp for an 6-8 ounce cup of coffee works fine. 2 tablespoons is a bit too much for one cup. Seems to blend nicely with decaf, for a good cup of half caff. A-/B+

Smooth and flavorful
I bought the light roast and it’s absolutely delicious. I usually drink breakfast blends - Dunkin’ Donuts brand, Seattle’s Best blonde roast, etc. Hearing so much about organic coffees and sustainable farming, I decided to switch to this and I’m very pleased with it. It’s very smooth and flavorful. My new favorite!

We love this coffee in our Kitchenaid auto espresso maker. It is smooth and great for espresso drinks. Great value especially if they are running a promo. We just ordered two more bags!

Lacking the "Crema" Soul: A Thinner, More Acidic Profile
While the Lavazza ¡Tierra! Organic for Planet has a great mission—focusing on sustainability and organic farming—it struggles to live up to the high bar set by Lavazza’s more iconic espresso blends. If you are used to the rich, syrupy body of the Barista or Super Crema lines, this light roast might feel like it’s missing a core component. Why it doesn't quite hit the mark: - Underwhelming Body: Compared to the "classic" Lavazza experience, I’m not as impressed as I was with Super Crema and Gran Crema. Because it is a 100% Arabica light roast, it lacks the Robusta "spine" and the deep oils that create that thick, persistent crema. The result is a much thinner, more tea-like mouthfeel that can feel a bit "weak" in a traditional espresso setup. - Higher Acidity: Being a light roast, the flavor leans heavily into bright, fruity, and floral notes. While some specialty coffee drinkers love this, for those of us chasing that classic Italian "chocolate and hazelnut" profile, it can come across as overly sour or sharp. - Organic Ethics over Flavor: You can tell the priority here was the "Planet" aspect. It’s a clean-tasting, ethical cup, but it lacks the "decisive" punch and creamy finish that makes the Gran Crema so satisfying. - Best for Drip, Not Espresso: This blend actually performs much better in a Chemex or a standard drip machine where the lighter notes can breathe. In a Picopresso or a high-pressure machine, it’s hard to get the same richness you're used to. It’s a clean and ethical light roast, but for a dedicated espresso drinker, it lacks the velvety texture and depth that makes the other Lavazza blends so special.

Yummy
So so, so so good. It’s taken me a long time to find a coffee that tastes just right to me and this is light, mild, smooth and has an aroma of very fresh roasted coffee beans.
