The twelfth fitness tape in Jane's series gives users an hour of dance aerobics in a new setting. It is designed to be done in 20, 40, or 60 minute segments to fit all levels of fitness and users' busy schedules. Following the workout is a 15 minute segment on nutrition - what to eat, how much of it to eat, and how you can make it improve your diet and actually eat more while losing weight.

Retro cardio is still a winner
This was one of my first Jane Fonda workouts maybe 30 years ago (in VHS format) and it took me a while then to learn the dance moves in a combination of low/high aerobic tunes, but you can easily modify them to meet your level. I bought this recently when looking for more just cardio workouts, and I wondered if I would remember the steps and like it as much, and the answer is yes! Everything came back in a flash--and it was fun to see Jane and pals in their rooftop dance gear.

"New" moves and "new" grooves
I had a couple of Jane Fonda's workouts on videotape but not this one; I'm glad I bought it. The moves are a little more complex than those in some of the other workouts which will keep it interesting as I use it over the years. It's amusing to look at the dancers' attire, exercise clothes made to look like they're going to a late-eighties dance club.It will get your heart pumping, but it also has one dancer who demonstrates lower-intensity moves.

Good All-Body Workout
For me, Jane Fonda is the best. I’ve been doing works with her for over 30 years now. (Wow, I’m giving away my age.) Now, with the gym closures, her CDs became my ONLY workouts. Aerobics, strength training in enjoyable and disciplined formats for women AND men together. It works for me!

Still better than the newer ones
I have the VHS version of this routine. Gave up on it for the newer workouts offered. Realized that a) a lot of what they're doing in new routines are potentially dangerous to joints and muscles; b) they're not as fun as the Fonda routines. So, I updated my library with the DVD, and lived happily ever after.

Jane will jack you up!
Old school but it’s really a good old fashioned aerobics workout. You will get your heart rate up and she has a good intro and stretching and cool down

Nice presentation; omitted the nutrition program
When the Lean Routine came out, the LEAN part of the title was advertised and written on the cover art as:-L for Low Impact/High Energy Aerobics-E for Every Fitness Level-A for Aerobic Interval Training-N for Nutrition ProgramThis release does not include the nutrition program. The product description here on Amazon says the nutrition program is included. Product descriptions for this DVD on FYE, Barnes & Noble and DeepDiscountDVD similarly list the nutrition program as being included. Perhaps they took the description from the previous VHS release? The cover art on the DVD lists L, E and A the same way, as above, but replaced the N for nutrition program with "13 original songs." Not sure why this was left out, as a lot of the material is still relevant. Certainly the methods are not as popular or trendy as keto, gluten-free or other dietary programs, but the material was still valid. The workout itself transferred nicely on this DVD release. Visually a good presentation, with each song having its own chapter stop. The music is a little more prominent in comparison to the vocals, and I do not mean in the way the earlier releases of the Original and Easy Going Workouts were, where the right audio channel was only music and left was a combination of music and vocal (same as the source material from RCA). Those were simply a matter of ensuring audio was balanced on one's TV or making sure your audio cables were properly connected. You can hear the instructions on this DVD but the music is definitely more prevalent in comparison to the previous VHS and LaserDisc releases. For those who are not familiar with the workout, it offers a 60-minute aerobic workout that can be followed at a low impact or high impact pace. A good cardio workout which can be done in 20, 40 or 60 minute sessions as she advises on the DVD, or with the help of the DVD menu, configured more to your schedule/preference.I'm grateful Lightyear is releasing these programs, and hoping for others to follow suit (Challenge, Workout with Weights, Stress Reduction).
