Top quality soundbar
I am a keen audiophile and bought this soundbar to improve the sound from my midrange tvโs speakers as I live in a flat and therefore cannot have a sound system that sounds like a home cinema anymore. For the price I am very impressed with the quality and it does punch above its weight for the price. For music its not as good as a ยฃ100+ bluetooth speaker in terms of sound and the power and definition on the bass more to the point, but it still sounds good and delivers a clear sound that sounds fuller and better then tv speakers. People have noted however that it does not sound better then their tvโs speakers, but if you have spent decently on your tv it will come with good to outstanding speakers and bass tweeters and therefore you should not expect a ยฃ30 soundbar to compete, stop being a cheap skate and spend more. (music tested was various albums/ songs/ compositions by : metallica, pantera, arch enemy, slayer, queen, 80โs compilation, classic rock, motown and 70โs disco, bach, vivadi, wagner). The sound is much better for films and tv as they do not require the wide dynamic range of of music and are encoded differently, but film themes do sound enlivened and fuller with richer, open sound and things like gunfire/ explosions sound beefed up and have weight to them. The dialog and higher frequencies are still audible and it really does do its job to enhance the television experience. (films tested were a mixture of blu ray and dvd and include: die hard 1-4, most of the star wars films, indiana jones and back to the future trilogys).Other soundbars I have tried have had either overpowering bass or only start to โcome aliveโ when the volume is turned up loud enough that the neighbours will complain which renders them useless if you have pets and/ or children and canโt have a massively loud or bassy soundbar on, especially in the evening.I have not tested the bluetooth or the (frankly aweful looking) component and 3.5 jack cables that came with it. For people wanting the best audio experience should only consider buying a good quality optical cable which can be bought from many places including amazon for ยฃ5. This should be the ONLY way you connect your soundbar for the best audio experience, as the bluetooth module you can expect in a ยฃ30 soundbar will be pretty pathetic and the supplied cables are garbage so please discount all the reviews that use these methods as I am not surprised they are getting playback noise/ interference, cut outs and generally sub standard audio. The bar does have a couple of quirks which are not deal breakers but I feel just things to bare in mind. The first is that sometimes when the soundbar is turned on after the tv it does occasionally make a moderately loud static noise for about 1 second. It doesnโt always do this and it has no effect on the sound whatsoever after using the soundbar daily for 3 months. The second is that when you turn it on it always reverts to full volume so you MUST remember to turn it down as it does go what most people would say is quite loud and is obviously jarring when your not expecting it. These points are really minor and it does become very easy to remember these things. This soundbar would be great for people looking to improve their audio quality on a budget and for people living in flats, with kids, pets etc... who want more bass and audio response and richness but canโt have it sounding like Metallica are playing live in their living room. Do not expect miracles and if you have a tv costing ยฃ1000+ then you cannot reasonably expect a ยฃ30 soundbar (which is 3% and upwards of the price you paid for the tv) to blow you away or be better. I do think if you are looking for a soundbar mostly for music and can tell the difference between high and low quality sound then you may want to spend more, unless you listen to modern chart music which has a very low frequency range because its awful in which case this product will be fine for you. But for an improved audio experience on a budget especially for tv and films that you can have on all night and really improve your your audio/ visual experience then this is quite frankly a bit of a bargin.I usually go for brand names and been stung either by poor picture or poor sound. My lg tv is poor for sound but bought this to give it a go and I wish I had of done it earlier. Much easier to hear the TV lovely and clear. Great value for money.also comes with additional 2 year warranty when you register product.

It's just perfect!
I really didn't know what to expect as the price is ridiculous compared to big brands, but I wanted to give it a go anyway, based on other reviews, because my very outdated tv, despite having still sharp image quality, has not the sound it used to have, especially when we try to listen to music at a louder volume, it just crackles a lot. Therefore, I decided to buy an affordable soundbar as I thought that, for the price of the branded ones, I could have better replaced the tv altogether.I'm so happy I did! This soundbar exceeded all of my expectations! The sound goes as loud as what I actually need. It has a very decent bass resolution and you can still adjust both bass and treble outside the pre-settings.I can't say it's a real home cinema surrounding experience but it is definitely the best sound I've ever experienced from an affordable soundbar.I didn't notice any delay when connected to Bluetooth and connecting all sorts of devices was very intuitive and straightforward.I'm very happy that this soundbar is electrically powered via socket-plug.Because my tv doesn't support a Bluetooth connection, I had to buy an optical cable (not included in the box) for which I'm not complaining whatsoever. I bought one for roughly ยฃ6 here on Amazon and the sound resolution of my tv changed dramatically. My only puzzlement comes from the fact that I can't really distinguish the difference between the movie setting and the music setting, whilst the dialogue one is very obvious. I bypassed the problem by adjusting the bass to the max when I'm listening to music. (It could be due to my "not-so-young-anymore ears setting", it makes sense that it could be kind of faulty by now!)I've just started to use this soundbar so I can't really tell if it will be durable or not. At the moment there is no crackling sound, no vibrations, even at its loudest, bass at a maximum, and listening to drill and metal music. (Yes, I did that!)I really also appreciated that, when I went on their website to register my product for a free extended 3years warranty, by subscribing to their newsletters, they'll plant a new tree. It's just a little bonus that I liked.Overall, I would 100% recommend this product to anyone who is not looking for a full home theatre surrounding experience but only for excellent sound at an affordable price.

For the money, I doubt you'd find something better!
I bought this soundbar on a whim to be honest. I've got an old, flatscreen non-"smart TV" that I use for retro gaming and watching movies when I'm having a lazy time in bed and one of my biggest gripes was that the sound quality coming from the built in drivers were extremely lacking. So I thought 'heck with it' and looked to Amazon to find a cheap and cheerful soundbar that would hopefully deliver what I wanted. And boy does it!Now obviously for ยฃ35 you're not ever going to get the kind of sound quality that a ยฃ300 alternative from Bose will offer, but that being said I was astonished at just how good this unit actually sounds. At reasonable volumes there is a dramatic improvement in audio quality over my TV's built in drivers. At higher volumes things tend to get a little distorted, but this is common for most speakers anyway so I won't hold that against it. If my arm was twisted for one gripe about the sound quality it would be that while the built in subwoofer is indeed a well welcomed feature, it just doesn't pack enough punch for me personally. But, as I won't really be using this unit for listening to music this isn't a massive deal breaker anyway. The highs and lows it delivers at any common listening volume for movies and such is more than adequate and I'm perfectly happy with how it sounds overall. My main issue with this unit is that while there is indeed bass and treble controls (along with pre-sets for music, dialogue and movie modes, more on these later), there is no indication of what levels these are set to when you adjust them. Obviously you can use your ear to tune these to your liking, but some kind of visual or audible cue would have been nice to have. However, once again not a deal breaker. I'm sure once you've got it dialled in to your liking you'll probably not tamper with these settings again anyway. Now, the pre-sets mentioned earlier. Personally I find the music and dialogue presets useless as the movie preset delivers better sound. However looking at other reviews I can see that other people have benefited from the dialogue pre-set, so I guess this point is entirely subject to your own opinion. The included remote is simple and easy to use (Shocker, I know) and even has play/pause and skip buttons which I have had much success with when connected to bluetooth devices. As far as the aesthetics of the unit goes, it's about what you'd expect. Constructed from a hardy black plastic (aside from the front grill which appears to be some kind of painted metal) it won't look out of place in any home environment. One last thing I'll note, as it doesn't seem to be very clear in the product description. This unit has 2 woofers and 1 subwoofer, making for a 2.1 stereo setup. Should be commonplace anyway I know, but I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone was looking for that information.I'd definitely give this unit a recommendation, and urge anyone looking for a cheap and cheerful solution to poor sound quality from cheaper or older TV's to consider this product.

There is Nothing Better for the Price.
I got a real surprise when I 1st received this Soundbar. I was not expecting it to be so long or wide but the best surprise for me is how it sounds.I know this is only my opinion but for natural sound, this Soundbar is Perfecto. For the price, I cannot see another product on the market here in the UK that can beat this Soundbar. The Sound range volume is just stunning. even at the tiniest sound volume I am still getting all ranges, I am not suffering any sound loss at all.Everybody is different when it comes to music sound but this 'Snowdon' soundbar IS going to appeal to a Huge number of you who enjoy that simple plug in & play for fantastic sound. I am not even going over the top, but I am very excited to be the 1 explaining to you why You should own 1 of these 'Snowdon' Soundbars from Majority.120W of Power, True Power & not cheap sounding Power but Real Strong Mighty 120Watts of POWER.Some other great news is that the annoying "CONNECTED" has gone & replaced with 3 bleeps to tell you your soundbar is connected to Bluetooth.Right, I am off to write a magazine Review for this AWESome product.3 years warranty.Fibre Optic connection.Line in.Auxiliary out.Recognized by a certain Capture Card for creators sold here on Amazon.I love this Product. The only bad thing about this product is a lot of you will just bypass this amazing Soundbar because it is from the UK, Cambridge. I did, at 1st but now, I have 2 Majority Soundbars. You will fall in love with this product as well.It is Truly Amazing for the Price.

Generally very good!
I had a 5.1 surround system in my small Victorian terrace front room. It was not the most 'developed' system and for Hi Fi purists it would have been considered, 'sub-standard'! But with an optical input it was good! But not great! The optical input failed and that meant I could only us the TV sound for DVD/Blueray inputs, not good! I looked through the options and cost v spec was the main consideration. I saw the Snowdown sound bar at ยฃ49.99 and it had OK reviews and it would fit in front of the TV on my stand. So, I took the plunge!! The result is better than I imagined it would be for the money. I think the clarity improvement is an absolute joy to listen to! I can now clearly detect 'faults' on the sound track of older films that we just 'fuzzy' before; some of the dialogue of Khartoum (1966 Gen. Gordon AKA Charlton Heston fighting the Mahdi AKA Laurence Olivier in the Sudan in 1885) is a bit damaged in places, and I can clearly hear the changes from 'good' sound to 'interrupted' sound recordings in a way that was simply a 'fuzz' before, a good test of the system's clarity of reproduction of the audial input! I like the bass, but needed to tone it down a bit!! Be warned this is no substitute for larger and more powerful systems, and I think the 120W is a mistake, the power output is more 20-25W in type. If you want real Hi Fi power this is not for you. But for TV and films in a smallish room its good!! I did not get any 'high volume' on turn on problem setting that some reviewers are expressing, though I was using an optical input! So, for ยฃ49.99 now reduced I see (the same cost of the Argos supplied 5.1 system of a decade or more ago) it is a steal!!!!

Great value, better than the price suggests.
We bought this to enhance vocal sounds that our TV is struggling with (thanks to the latest trend to make speech sound so mumbled).Have to say, for the money, this is very hard to beat. It sounds pretty good overall (taking the price point into context) and is certainly punching above its weight. However, be realistic when choosing such devices, sound bars will always find it hard to beat a separate amp and half decent separate speakers. I also have a NAD + Tannoy setup, but that's often a bit of overkill for general TV watching, and is of course in a different league, but cost considerably more even second hand.It does what was intended, and doesn't sound too shabby on music and movie settings either - although movie does get a bit too boomy in our small semi-detached house (has potential to disturb neighbours). It feels better made than the ยฃ34 price too, although the supplied cable quality is a little questionable, they do work OK (I have my own collection of cables anyway), get better ones if you can, but don't go mad - a few pounds will get something sufficient. The remote is definitely not the best, and can take a few presses to get a response. However, I set mine up on our four channel One4All universal remote, and it works great off that. With bluetooth off an iPhone, there's no issues with that. It connected quickly and reliably. We haven't come across any of the hissing issues, but it's connected using the RCA input (we have an old Plasma TV with no Digital output), and sounds fine with that.If you're looking for a low cost upgrade to poor TV sound, then this is worth a punt. I had quite low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised.
