Always someone in the family to get these for Christmas
Ladies and gents, gather 'round for the epic tale of the Fruit of the Loom Men's Work Gear Heavy Duty Crew Socks โ the unsung heroes of foot comfort and the comedic relief my feet didn't know they needed! These socks are not just foot garments; they're foot companions, foot confidants, foot soulmates. Let me regale you with the saga of the sock that changed the game. First off, the term "heavy-duty" isn't just a marketing gimmick; it's a promise, a commitment, a sacred vow to shield my feet from the perils of the daily grind. These socks are like the knights in shining armor for my feet, bravely facing the challenges of long walks, epic stair climbs, and the occasional dance battle with my dog. It's like having a foot fortress wrapped around each precious toe. The durability of these socks is no laughing matter โ except, of course, when you consider the fact that I've put them through more stress tests than a superhero's cape. They've weathered hikes, dodgeball matches, and impromptu dance-offs in the living room, emerging unscathed and ready for more. It's like they have a PhD in foot resilience. Now, let's talk about comfort. These socks are not just comfortable; they're like a spa day for my feet. The cushioning is so divine that I'm convinced my feet are receiving daily massages from sock angels. It's like walking on clouds, but without the fear of falling through and causing an embarrassing scene. But wait, there's more โ they're not just socks; they're fashion statements. The subtle branding is like a secret handshake among sock connoisseurs. It's the kind of detail that says, "Yes, I value comfort, but I also appreciate a touch of style on my ankles." It's like a low-key flex for my feet. And the funniest part? The versatility. These socks seamlessly transition from a day at the office to a weekend warrior adventure. It's like they have a chameleon-like ability to adapt to any situation. Business meeting at 9, impromptu camping trip at 5 โ these socks have got my feet covered, quite literally. In conclusion, the Fruit of the Loom Men's Work Gear Heavy Duty Crew Socks are not just foot coverings; they're foot legends. If you're ready to treat your feet to a blend of durability, comfort, and a dash of sock swagger, look no further. These socks are the unsung heroes your feet have been silently begging for. Get ready to embark on a socktastic journey of foot comfort and hilarity!

They are never going to be as good as the ones you depended on ten or twenty years back , but they are todays aternative and work well but do not last as long as you would have wished .

Semi-Serious Sock Study : 21.5 Months
Spoiler: Fruit of the Loom were so-so; Gold Toe were great. I wear white cotton crew socks basically every day, two pairs on workout days. I wear them with high-impact athletic shoes, work/walking shoes, and occasionally heavy work boots. I want them to last (no holes, no saggy tops), I want them to be comfortable, and I want a fair value for my money. So when I retired my old inventory nearly two years ago, I picked up five different brands of white crew socks. Durability: As I wore the socks, I tried to be very diligent about 'rotating stock' -- pulling socks to wear from the right-side of the drawer, putting in freshly-laundered ones on the left. In theory, they all received about the same amount of wear-and-tear. Wigwam (2/5): Unraveled at the top quickly -- after the first washing, three socks; after the third or fourth, almost every sock had loose tops. These thick socks took around a year before I started seeing holes in the toes or heel. Under Armour (4/5): Some unraveling around the 8 or 9 month mark, no holes until year two. Fruit of the Loom (3/5): Little unraveling, but heels thinned before the end of the first year, leading to holes. Hanes Cushion Crew (3/5): Modest unraveling, but moderate holes at toes and heels around the 9-12 month mark. Gold Toe Cotton Crew Athletic (5/5): Outstanding -- so far, no unraveling; two toe holes, one heel hole. Comfort: There's two factors for me -- first, softness; second, thickness/padding. Also, I'm not looking for a compression sock (like for when I fly, or if I develop CHF) -- nothing *too* tight (and none of them were). Wigwam (3/5): Very thick (for a crew sock), well-padded; stiff -- even after months of washing, they almost felt starched. Under Armour (5/5): Good thickness; started soft, became even softer after a few washes. Fruit of the Loom (3/5): Felt slightly thin; good softness. Hanes Cushion Crew (4/5): Good thickness; slightly stiff, but not as bad as Wigwam). Gold Toe Cotton Crew Athletic (5/5): Thick, but not too thick; softest out-of-the-plastic, and better as time went by. Value: All bought on the same date, non-sale prices (just standard Amazon prices) Wigwam Super 60 Crew ($2.97/pr) Under Armour Charged Cotton Crew ($2.50/pr) Fruit of the Loom Heavy Duty Crew ($1.81/pr) Hanes Cushion Crew ($1.78/pr) Gold Toe Cotton Crew Athletic ($1.72/pr)

Comfortable and Durable Everyday Sports Socks
These Fruit of the Loom menโs sports socks are very comfortable and great for daily use. The fabric feels soft yet durable, providing good cushioning for walking, working, or light exercise. I like that they fit well without sliding down or feeling too tight. The elastic holds them in place nicely, and they stay comfortable even after wearing them for long hours. They are breathable, which helps keep feet cool and dry throughout the day. After multiple washes, they still maintain their shape and softness, showing good quality and durability. Overall, this is a reliable pack of everyday sports socks that offers comfort, support, and good value. I would definitely recommend them for regular use.

Was alway using store bought socks but not anymore. Those have the right size for my feet so they don't overextend.
