Really happy with these shorts. The fabric is light and breathable, which makes them perfect for warm weather or the pool. The built-in liner is comfortable and does not feel restrictive, which is a big plus. I personally prefer shorter swim trunks, and the inseam on these is exactly what I was looking for, not too long or baggy. The fit overall feels modern and flattering. I also really like the simple striped pattern. It is clean, stylish, and easy to pair with different tops. The only small callout is the price. I did come across very similar trunks on another clothing platform for about $10 less. That said, the quality and fit here still make these a solid purchase. Overall, these exceeded my expectations, and I am definitely considering ordering another pair in a different pattern.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Nice bright color! Purchased for my larger child who is 11 yrs old and 5ft2, with a 43 inch waist, xl fit great. Very good quality and stylish as well. These are not short but not long either, perfectly middle range. The inner lining doesn't constrict his movement at all, which is a problem with some other brands. I'd say they are more fitted then some as well. Material is not too thin, but just right for water activities and swimming. They do seem to be a bit smaller then other brands of this size, got his regular size large and had to exchange for an xl. Easy peezy though. I'd buy again. Good buy for the money. Overall, these are a solid pair of swim trunks for the price. The fit is good, they’re comfortable, and they look nice for casual beach or pool use. For something affordable, they definitely get the job done. That said, the material feels a little on the cheaper side. I’m a surfer, so I’m probably more picky than most when it comes to fabric quality and how it feels in the water. They’re fine for swimming and lounging, but they don’t have the premium feel or performance you’d get from higher-end surf brands. If you’re looking for an inexpensive, good-looking pair of trunks for vacations or occasional use, these are a good option. Just don’t expect top-tier surf material.

Got to say, these MaaMgic swim trunks are just about perfect for me. I use them for running and bicycling and occasionally swimming. They are the closest thing to 1970s, and 1980s style, and 30 years is how long I've been looking for them! Not quite 1970s size, longer inseams and length but I am cringing when I see the originals in old movies so this is a good compromise. I wear a large, inseam is just over 4" (4 1/8" versus claimed 4.5" for large - which is fine by me) and the legs are cut in a bit - most swim trunks on the market look a bit silly with straight legs, at least on me by having to wear large because of my big bottom. I would prefer solid colors, and MaaMgic makes a less expensive (about $5 less per pair) solid color model with the identical fit without the edge trim (also sold on Amazon) but these are superior in most ways. The fabric is softer with an amazing thread count, the less expensive ones are stiffer and make a bit of noise. However, the less expensive ones shed water faster and the mesh liner is a larger mesh also allowing water to go through easier. However the shorts I'm reviewing has a finer mesh liner and is far more comfortable for cycling. I really notice the difference after a couple hours ride. One other small peeve, they added stitching to the front to mimic a zipper flap. That seems silly to me, just as it would in men's running shorts. Also, my personal preference is to have the drawstring on the inside, but outside is where most makers have been putting them the last few years. None of the ones from the 1980s have outside ones. The 3 pockets on both models are just perfect. Edit 10/3/2013: Still love these. This Pixel design wore out after a 5,000 miles of bicycle touring in New Zealand. Using a stretch fabric would be the only suggestion as they pull slightly on the thighs with each pedal stroke. To some extent, the shorter inseam of this design does minimize this pull versus long inseam shorts. So reordered the Pixel when I returned home and to my surprise (after buying several designs in my size), Maagic has changed the sizing. The size large I previously purchased are now closer to extra large and baggy on me. I returned them for medium which are a better fit on me than the older large size. Also kudos on Maagic (specifically Baohui Fashion Store the current vendor name) for quickly replacing the mediums after Amazon's return period because of a defect I didn't notice initially.

A little on the shorter side for inseem, but they look great. They don't look or feel as cheap as the price may indicate, overlap a great value.

The sizing was correct, material was great, and the quality seemed perfect, but I had to return because of the way the crotch is sewn in. It’s very very tight in that area, and on me, it went up so high because of that that it wasn’t a a matter of if, but when I would have a slip.

These shorts did not just pack for the cruise. They showed up ready to be noticed. The maamgic 80s and 90s style cut is bold in the best way. The shorter inseam shows some leg, the fit is trim without being tight, and the lightweight fabric moves easily whether you are heading to the pool or walking the deck at sunset. They sit just right on the waist and hit at a flattering spot on the thigh. The material dries quickly and feels smooth against the skin, so you are comfortable coming out of the water and straight into a drink line. No awkward cling. No sagging. Just clean lines and confident energy. And yes, they made me feel incredibly sexy on a cruise. There is something about that retro vibe, a little sun on your shoulders, and a pair of shorts that actually fit well. I felt confident walking past the loungers, confident at the pool bar, and confident when someone’s eyes lingered just a second longer than usual. Fun, flattering, and just daring enough without crossing the line. These are not shy swim trunks. These are vacation mode activated.

I am 180 cm height, 75 kg weight , L size fits perfectly. Love color, material and lining . Highly recomend. OAlready ordered 2 more shorts in different colors!!

These are the best swim trunks I have ever had in my life but they are also four times more expensive than anything I’ve paid for in the line of swimwear. These dry very quickly and the drawstring is thick and of the finest quality. It has two mesh pockets in the front and one mesh pocket at the back. The material is thick and substantial and these trunks are definitely not flimsy. These will be able to take a lot of punishment and still last for years. These will give you years of satisfaction
