Effective borate treatment, easy to apply
This borate powder mixed easily into solution and applied evenly on exposed framing lumber. It is exactly the professional-grade product described, water soluble and simple to work with. I used it as a preventive treatment against wood-destroying insects and decay before closing up the walls.

Very effective in my limited use.
I have had good results using this to avoid and to kill termite issues. Toxic as one would expect, so don't take short cuts - avoid skin contact and inhaling dust. Don't use it where your pets of kids will walk through it. In one case, I was able to drill holes into a 2x6 door jamb and mix a slurry with water which I injected with a small syringe. Problem solved with only one application.

WORKS takes a few days but it works
Carpenter ants started showing up in the kitchen. Apple phone identified the critters as Carpenter Ants. They don't build furniture so after some research I bought this product and applied it twice in one week. Spayed the entire house and around the perimeter of the house. Three weeks later no more destructive ants. Saved $187 to have "Professionals" Spray harmful chemicals.

Just Used it
I watched a how to video on Tim-Bor powder and mixed a 15% solution with ease. No problem mixing 1.5 pounds in a gallon of warm water with a drill and paddle bit. Absolutely no problem. I had made some deck stairs and ordered this product to spray on them. Waited for the wood to dry out for three weeks and sprayed the steps today. I got a sprayer at ACE Hardware for cheap. I wish I would have gotten a better sprayer because the how to video guy said not to apply it so thick that it drips. Well, my deck steps look like it poured rain on them after I was done. I did some of my fence to and it was easier to manage not to drip. I will see how it does. Only time will tell. I hope it doesn't matter that I put this on pressure treated wood. I realized that Nissus makes a product specifically for pressure treated. I hope I didn't waste my money.

Inexpensive, easy to use and versatile
I've bought this product several times through the years. Primarily, I use it to treat insect infestation, like carpenter ants, when doing repairs on exterior trim or as preventative for fungus and rot for wood which might, at some point be accidentally subjected to moisture, like around windows. I generally only treat small surfaces, so I mix it in small quantities to spread with a hand sprayer or small garden sprayer. I then store the remaining powder air tight. I do not use this for exterior purposes, although it can be used for surfaces sheltered from rain, as rain will leech it out of the wood. For exterior purposes, I prefer copper napthenate. I like that Timbor is of low toxicity. The powder can also be used to dust surfaces and grooves against cockroaches and silverfishes

easy to use, good termite treatment
We were doing some termite repairs on our wood deck, and I wanted to treat the wood for termites so we wouldn't have to do it again. This is what the termite pros often use to treat the wood in your house to keep the termites away. 1 package mixes with 1 gallon of water, and you apply it with a garden sprayer. Wear a mask; you don't want to be breathing the stuff. But you'll breathe a litle easier knowing you're less likely to get termites, and you spent a tiny fraction of what the termite company would charge.

Works, but not user friendly
Make sure to read instructions carefully. The mix has to be perfect for it to work.

EASY
GOOD STUFF!!!! Of course time will tell me how well it does its job, but easy to mix, dissolves well, and will spray out a garden pump sprayer. I didn't see anywhere on the Amazon site page where it said how much one bag will do until I got the product and read it does one gallon. But that was enough for what I was doing.
