Delicious Great Value
Omigosh these are delicious. Of course, we all want fresh, but I can't always shop and find what I want. I bought Italian made linguine and used these and the Bar Harbor Clam Juice. It was delicious. I'm so glad I took a chance because I have 10 cans left! I will make this for guests. Excellent product. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

Dented cans but contents were fine. Used these to make my grandma's old recipe for "clam dip". The batch I made tasted great with these. Better ingredients than the standard store bought variety. No complaints or regrets.

Real clams!
Bar Harbor makes me feel like I'm back in New Jersey, eating Grandmom's chowder. Unlike other canned clams, which taste like chemicals, or worse, these taste like the real thing. They are from the North Atlantic, and packaged in Maine. If you read the protein content on the label and compare it to the other brands, you can see that Bar Harbor has almost two and a half times the protein that others have. More protein means more clams, not juice. So whatever you're paying for cheaper clams, you're not getting a better deal. I will only buy Bar Harbor now.

Best canned chopped clams I have found
I see that a lot of folks do not like this brand because there is a lot of sea water in the can, which is true. But I have this to be true with every other brand of chopped or baby clams. i cook clams and pasta quite frequently and the juice from the can is very much part of the recipe. Also, the juice is just clam juice and salt water, no preservatives, which can be found in most other brands, especially when the clams are sourced from other regions, such as Asia. My supermarket runs out of these clams and the other products made by this company, so I now buy by the case.
