My son got a GSP so this was a gift he said it was a good book and very informative.

Lots of information this is a good read

I’ve bought other books and have done tons of research. For a first time GSP (puppy) owner this has been the most helpful and cost efficient. I even enjoyed reading it!

This book is trash in every sense.- It's full of misspellings. There's at least one on every page, including words that may be spelled correctly immediately before or after.- The formatting is odd. Two-column, justified text on each page makes it very difficult for the eye.But most importantly, it's flat-out wrong. So little of her descriptions of GSPs is accurate in my history of breed ownership. And just to make sure, I posted several passages from this book in GSP-centric social media groups and received a huge amount of engagement, which can be boiled down to this: "This author has clearly never owned a GSP and possibly has never met one," or "These statements are clearly untrue." Comments like this came from all over the world.There are many, many examples. Feel free to DM me before you spend a penny on this dog version of Mad Libs.

This may be the most comprehensive dog book I have ever read. Info specific to the GSP while relatively brief, is well documented and most informative. The rest of the book is a great overview of dog ownership, covering all aspects.

As an overview for a new dog owner it is fine. Covers everything for a getting any type of puppy. At times more personalised to Pointer. But most is relevant to any dog and not very pointer specific
