I bought this Starrett Fast Cut hole saw to run a few clean pentrations through thin sheet metal, timber, and PVC conduit, and it performed brilliantly. What stands out: Fast, Clean Cuts: The 5.5 TPI positive-rake tooth design grabs onto the material straight away without walking around or shuddering. It leaves a crisp, burr-free edge that requires minimal cleanup. Heat Resistance: The extra cobalt in the HSS teeth makes a noticeable difference in heat management compared to standard budget bi-metal saws. It holds its sharpness even after multiple passes through tougher steel sheet. 41mm Depth: Perfect depth for going through standard timber joists, sheet metal, and plasterboard. Solid Construction: Fits standard Starrett arbors (and compatible third-party arbors) with zero slop or thread binding. Fpr Best Results: Speed Control: Keep your drill at lower RPMs, especially when cutting steel, to keep heat generation to a minimum. A previous Starrett hole saw broke up mid-way through a job after many years of use (and abuse) and I needed a replacement that would do as well as the original. Having tried some other brands which were recommended to me but disappointed, massively, I did what I should have done ask bought a genuine Starrett product once more. The previous saw was good, very good, drilling thick/thin, metal or plastic with no problems. ``it was getting slower but, hey, so am I. The new one arrived and was put to work straight away. Why had I waited so long? It cut fast and true, throwing an impressive amount of swarf as it bored the remaining twenty- three holes in no tome flat. Amazon delivery was fast but the Starrett hole saw impressed even more . IMO buy Starrett and forget the rest.

The name Starrett means quality in hole saws. Used them all my life, so I can report, these are my go to.

Como no podía ser de otra manera, la calidad es excelente, propia de la marca. La he usado para hacer una bajante de un canalón de aluminio y a parte de permitir el centrado correcto sin variación en todo el corte (los dientes de la corona son más pequeños que los de las marcas baratas), ha hecho un corte limpio y perfecto. Recomiendo vivamente esta corona y la marca Starrett.
