What is the actual handle made of? Is it metal and unbreakable or plastic and breakable?

The skeleton is a metal so it is durable. The cover in blue that you see is a very durable nylon. Nylon will not break usually unless you smack it with a hammer. MAXI pump is both durable and efficient.

Does it have a guage.

Stopped Working

Worked fine until a tiny nut that is on the pump handle fell off and it is so small that I was unable to reattach the nut. And of course the return period had expired. Plan to replace with the next level pump.
