Brabantia Topspinner Large Rotary Washing Line with Metal Ground Spike, Metallic Grey, 60 M, 45 mm

Very happy with this, spins well once loosened up a bit. Strong and study.

This was bought to replace a succession of cheaper dryers that only seemed to survive for a couple of years before the plastic lines stretch and/or tangle making it difficult to put up the dryer frame. This is a much better designed device, made of heavier gauge tubing with individual strands of UV resistant line between the dryer arms. The base of the main pole has a rounded plastic insert that acts as a bearing, allowing the dryer to rotate freely in its ground spike and there are plastic ties built into the frame to hold the lines in place when it is folded. The frame runs easily up and down the pole and there is a simple ratchet mechanism to lock it in place, making it easy to put up and take down. The ground spike also comes with a bright red plastic insert to seal the hole to grit and water when the dryer is removed for storage. I would recommend a couple of tips if you purchase one of these: 1. Invest about £12 in the Brabantia cover as well. This should prolong the life of the lines and keep them clean if the dryer is left out in the open when not in use. 2. Getting the ground spike vertical when it has been hammered into a lawn can be challenging. Some long (3 - 6 inch) narrow wooden wedges can help to adjust the position once it is in the ground. Although this costs roughly twice what I have paid for lesser versions in the past, it shows every sign of being much better value for money. Overall you get what you pay for.

Seems to be a robust design, nice and chunky aluminium centre pole, but for the money it should be! An odd method of attaching the line, each span is a separate length rather than a continuous length threaded around the whole unit. Some reviewers believe the 'topspinner' should spin like a helicopter, it's not supposed to. It's purely an aid to putting the washing on it and the washing dries fine. All rotary lines work the same way, the clue is in the name.

After two very disappointing experiences - one with Home Laundry product and one with Homegear rotary line (one star only here) I at last found a perfect rotary line. My old one after 20 plus years, finally died so I was in a bit of a pickle trying to find a new one, especially after two disappointments. The Brabantia topspinner is performing perfectly. Have now used it around 8 times since purchase, including hanging king size very thick cotton bedspreads which are used as throws on the sofa and chairs. Yes it is a bit high, but who wants their king size duvet cover trailing on the garden? Plenty of room for loads of washing, full king size bed linen change, full bathroom and kitchen towel wash and personal items too. It has an umbrella type of opening with three stages if the lines ever get a bit slack. Each line is individually strung allowing for tightening - it comes with a page showing how to do this. It circles freely in the wind and has a very sturdy ground spear. Love it. Only negative, for this price they should include a cover.

This is the royalty of rotary lines. It's so big and sturdy and accommodates large amounts of laundry. Best purchase ever, you absolutely get what you pay for. Learnt the hard way skimping on lines before only for them to snap, this beast I'm sure will last a long time.

This really is a very good rotary clothesline, very well made and strong, so should last years. The only drawback I've found is that it is quite tall when erected. I am 5ft 8ins and I really have to stretch to reach the outer lines to hang my clothes up which has given me arm and backache and also my neck from looking up higher hurts. On the plus size from that is that clothes don't hang near the ground.

Well worth the price

After ordering and then returning the Brabantia Compact Rotary Washing Line Airer 50m because it was virtually impossible to put up the arms.(even with my husband helping). I ordered this one instead. I was delighted to find I could put up the arms and use by myself with no trouble. The line stays taught and I have no problem with the height. I am 5ft 6 ish. So pleased I didn't give up with Brabantia as they are a great design and very sturdy. I live on top of a hill and needed a substantial clothes dryer to withstand the strong coastal winds. Easy to install the metal spike which comes with it. We actually used postcrete because as previously stated, we are on top of a hill. Ample space for two machine loads. We also bought the cover and are very pleased with that too. Highly recommend this dryer.

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour ce séchoir rotatif. Il a l’air solide, et les fils ultra-résistants. A voir dans le temps.

Pleinement satisfaite de ce séchoir. La longueur des fils permet d'étendre beaucoup de linge ! La grande envergure permet d'y mettte aussi bien du petit linge que des housses de couette. Je peux y mettre plus de 2 machines (voir trois) de 9kg. Au bout de chaque branche on peut glisser un ceintre, pratique pour sécher une veste ou un manteau ! Le système d encrage est impeccable ! Bien qu'il fasse faire attention à le mettre droit car quelques cm de decallage et c'est tout le tourniquer qui est pas droit. Quand on l enlève de son support,un petit bouchon est fournit pour empêcher eau terre ou pelouse de rentrer dedans. De plus le systeme tourne donc plus besoin de se déplacer autour. We bought this in May 2021. It was easy to instal. It is still working fine.

Lo utilizzo da 2 settimane, arrivato nei tempi in perfette condizioni. Strutturalmente fatto bene, i bracci non hanno lasco nelle giunture e risultano solidi..mi riservo aggiornamenti sui cavi. Facile da installare nel giardino con la struttura da piantare nel terreno che gli da stabilità.
