Not suitsuitable for use with lens hood

Not compatible with Sony rx100
This has worked really well at keeping lens on my Sony rx100 protected for 18 months. I am now having to remove it as I have started using the flash. With this on it casts a crescent shadow across the bottom of all pictures when using the flash. I am taking it off today using hairdryer to soften the glue and some fine fishing wire to cut through the glue. Wanted to write this review to inform others. If I had known this I would not have put it on as I may now break the camera when taking it off.

No UV filter
My package arrived with no UV filter. Also, the lens ring was stuck to the packaging with the adhesive pad for the camera. Refund requested.

Not as advertised - missing item
The sticky-mount filter adapter is a neat piece of kit in its own right - but where was the 52mm lens filter?!

A brillant adapation for my RX100V, now I have UV filter, plus rotating CPL polarising filter on it
its easy to fit, just make sure the camera surface is scrupulously clean, stick it on and leave it for a day before adding any filters to ensure it is really 'stuck' down. Now I have less hazy pictures and can take out water surface and other reflections. It looks a bit odd at full lens extension but I can live with that for the improvements I now get.

Sinnvolles Zubehör
Der Filterhalter lässt sich einfach am Objektivtubus festkleben. Der mitgelieferte UV-Filter ist eigentlich für die Digitalfotografie nicht notwendig, aber er schützt die sonst freiliegenden Lamellen, die die Linse verdecken, wenn die Kamera ausgeschaltet ist. Sollte man versehentlich diese Lamellen etwas unsanft berühren, verbiegen sie relativ schnell, was eine Reparatur nach sich ziehen würde. Außerdem kann der UV-Filter für bestimmte Fotoprojekte gegen "nützliche" Filter wie ND-, Verlaufs-, Farb- oder andere Filter austauschen. Jedoch muss man sich gewiss sein, den eingebauten Blitz nicht allzu häufig einzusetzen. Denn der Filterhalter schattet den Blitz ab und es ergibt sich im Foto mittig unten eine dunkle Stelle, die nicht vom Blitz ausgeleuchtet wurde.. Da ich persönlich (fast) nie Blitzlicht benötige, stört mich das Beschriebene nicht, sollte aber in eine Kaufabsicht mit einfließen.
