KATE FARMS Organic1.0 Chocolate Nutrition Shake, 16g Protein, 27 Vitamins and Minerals, Meal Replacement 11 oz (12 Pack)

After a car accident left my husband with a broken neck, several fractured vertabrae and a couple of cracked ribs, he spent a month in the ICU at Yale and another month at a top rehab facility. Maintaining adequate caloric intake wearing a neck brace was difficult, especially in light of the fact that his diet has been 100% organic for decades (and he has a sensitive, discerning palate). He only stopped losing weight after the folks at Gaylord Rehab introduced him to Kate Farm's products, and now -- more than a year later -- Kate Farms products are a staple in our house (any flavor or formula, as long as it's chocolate). I agree that Kate Farms products ain't cheap, but these are meal replacement drinks, and when you compare the price of a Kate Farms nutrition drink/shake (or two) to what a meal would cost, they aren't unreasonably priced: One Kate Farms Standard 1.0 Chocolate (costs $3.33, 16 gr protein, 12 gr fat, 38 gr carbs, 325 calories and 260 MG SODIUM) VS One Big Mac (costs $3.99, 25 gr protein, 30 gr fat, 45 gr carbs, 550 calories and 1010 MG SODIUM). Except Kate Farms is healthier -- and the quality of the ingredients is out of this world. I mean it when I say that the Kate Farms drinks saved my husband's life. The Standard Chocolate 1.0 is excellent, and the Chocolate Nutrition Shake and the new Chocolate 1.4 are products that we absolutely have to keep on hand. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

I think I may be addicted to these. It is the right combination of flavors and consistency, doesn't make my blood sugar shoot up, and leaves me clear headed. When I don't have time for a complete meal, these are perfect for grabbing and drinking in the car. I like them as a quick meal or snack so much, though, that I sometimes just eat them anytime. I have been drinking these for a while now, and to address those that say they sometimes have weird chunks in them, I find that this is likely to be a problem when the product is repeatedly heated then cooled, I left a few in the car this summer and they were the only ones from that box with a clumping problem. If you don't do this and it is still an issue, it could be that this heating/cooling happened while stored or during shipping. And, certain companies seem to offer fresher product than others, which also can be a factor. Very rare clumps or not, though, I still enjoy them and surprisingly, feel healthier when I drink them regularly. I would drink them even more often if they cost less. :-) It is hard to find a meal replacement shake that doesn't have dairy/whey or soy in it, so thank you guys so much for creating this option!

Just want to tell you to stock up for winter because the chocolate flavored makes fantastic hot chocolate. Just pour in cup, heat up in the microwave, add a marshmallow if you want to and enjoy! All the satisfaction - all the vitamins and great nutrition!

Is a great product. The only thing I have to say that in the summer months, even in home cool air-conditioning and refrigerated, it is most likely hot summer months ship from various warehouses, but you have to be sure althougj it’s in your refrigerator, you may find it wonky the carton a little expanded or you cannot shake it easily, be sure to give it a quick sniff. It’s up to you even though it’s not dairy, when it happens like I said in the summer and when you unpack them, if you even notice expansion, you might want to shake it, sniff it, and you may have to toss it. It could be one bottle out of a pack. It could be none. say this because really respect the company and their product but that’s just something I became aware of last summer.

I frequently have nausea, so sometimes it’s difficult to get actual food in. These shakes work well without adding to my nausea, and go down very easily! They are balanced and have a lot of vitamins. The texture is slightly chalky, but nothing terrible. It tastes a lot better cold, and the chalkiness went away when I mixed it with a few ounces of water.

I’ve struggled for years trying to find food that wouldn’t upset my digestion and seemingly endless nausea. Now that I’m on a GLP-1, the issue has become compounded and was making my life very hard trying to get proper nutrition I could actually tolerate. I tried protein powders of all kinds, protein drinks, other meal replacement drinks, etc. Finally, after a lot of research, I found Kate Farms. Yes, this shake has sugar, but I can’t stand the monk fruit taste of the various non sugar brands. The chocolate flavor is out of this world good!!! It’s not too thick and I can digest it really well. No gritty texture, just a smooth drink. Feels like I’m drinking a milk shake. I’ll be buying the chocolate again and trying the vanilla too!!!!

Do not purchase this product from any company that does not ship it cold. This is a medical product requiring a Dr prescription: it is a very good product for people that have to have liquid meals and cannot eat solid food and other digestive problems’ I like the product but not the company that makes it. The last several cartons I received the box was opened and taped the drinks leaked out of,the sides under the rim’ I got very sick. If you start to drink one and it has bubbles do not drink it because air got in’ I never have that problem in the hospital’ the packaging is poorly sealed and cheaply made’ the drink itself is good but I’ve had too many problems. I tried to contact them directly but the money they want is the bottom line

Came unharmed in excellent packaging - Expiration date a year from delivery - love the taste (chocolate is the only one I've tried) I warm it up and it is like a yummy hot chocolate. I have a very sensitive stomach but this is easy on my stomach and causes no problems. I have some issues with solid foods so this covers all the bases for nutrition - my internist recommended this product - a bit pricy but I'm happy to pay since it solves many of my needs.
