Never thought I would like this jacket. Expected fully to try it on and send it back. They hype was too good to be true. I was wrong. It was worth every penny and was perfect for spring weather on a three week trip to the UK and Ireland. The pockets and carrying system was amazing. Never tried a big tablet, but carried multiple phones, a water bottle, passport wallet, a small microfiber towel, sundry items like lip balm and advil. Oh and my clip on sun glasses with an attached glass wiping towel. It is amazing well conceived and really you are paying for the smarts that went into it. My wife saw mine and she bought one for our trip, too. She loved it as well. Used as a blanket, a pillow, a purse/secret carry on bag...and oh yeah, it worked as a jacket, too. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

I recently bought the Cobalt blue pack windbreaker, in the men size medium because it's not as form fitting as the woman's version and that allows more space for storage without looking lumpy. It's very well constructed, and the fabric is high quality. I use the pockets in lieu of a purse. My first purchase was a red trenchcoat in ladies' size large, when it was marked down in price. It's sharp looking and has all the pockets. And I like it a lot. The only thing I wish was different is the fabric. It seems to wrinkle more easily than fabric for most coats. And my second purchase was a black hoodie. I purchased the men's small first, and it fit, but I felt like I needed more room for my stuff, so I exchanged it for a men's size medium. I ordered black because it goes with everything. I wear this a lot, and keep my stuff in it just like I would in a purse. During the cold weather, I wear this under a coat. The only thing wrong is that somebody goofed up and apparently sewed a large or extra large sleeve on the left side. When I hold my arms out to the side I can tell it's much wider under the arm than the other sleeve. I didn't realize it right away and when I did, the return window was over, so I've taken it up in places to make the one arm the same size as the other arm. I don't think this happens much, but you might want to inspect when you first receive your garment. I highly recommend Scottevest clothing, as you've probably figured out by the fact that I own three Scottevest garments.

Update - I figured out that the length was causing the barrel fit, but its fixable because there is a tension string at the waist. So if you tighten the string, you can flip up the excess inside, and then it looks great.Plus I also got the white scottevest long sleeve shirt to go underneath it, and that looks sharp too. I went L on the shirt, and it runs about right or SLIGHTLY big, and then the scottevest windbreaker runs slightly tight in the shoulders.But looks sharp if you do the trick that I mentioned. And thats important, because for me - see, I'm not perfect. So things like jackets or really any clothes need to not only work, they need to help me out and look as good as possible.So this one is working nicely now :-)Looks sharp with great pockets5'10 5'11 and around 185-190 lbs

Readers; This writer took a cross nation trip to San Diego on Electric Car business, and wished to get thru the KGB agents , disguised as TSA servants of the people-- so I bought this for all my travel items. The pockets are perfect for the uses. The pockets can be adapted to use for other objects than the stated purpose. I was able to fold and tuck 04 printed pages of my itenery and a heavy paper cover, into one of the pockets. This is a fine coat for its use. The TSA thugs hated it- 'why are you wearing a coat in Calif"?. In the end, the coat passed thru the scanners; I got accosted and they hoped I was a wanted terrorist, because my SUSPENDERS, freaked out the scanner device. Maybe I should have folded myself into the coat and gotten thru easier??

This is the perfect Lite weight Jacket for Travel My, Phone, i pad, and Pass Port fit in it just perfect. They did not deliver it to my House they stuffed it in a Mail Box that usually gets thrown into the streets of Stolen that why we do not use the Mail Box for our street address, Lucky we checked the Street Box Usually UPS, Fed-EX puts our items on the front Porch?????

The jacket feels like it’s high quality. There are some loose threads here and there but no biggie. Lots of pockets as is expected. The thing is quite hot to wear, actually.My issue is that it stains very, very easily. I have the grey one. Maybe it’s better with black. I wore it for a few hours total and it got a dark ring around the collar. I don’t sweat an obscene amount or anything. I I wore it every day in the city for a week and every day there are new dark stain spots in various places. Using dish soap and scrubbing with a brush helps sometimes, but not always. Before you assume I must be a slob or rolling in grease if I have so many stains so fast, let me make it clear that nothing else I’ve been wearing is stained, nor do I typically have this problem with anything else.Would give it 5 stars if not for the stains, but I really can’t get past them.

An exhaustive search proved that there's nothing else available with the capacity to hold all of the items that have to be separated from cabin luggage for airport security. It's also very suitable for a warm climate and looks smart. Expensive, but worth buying.
