CyberPower ST425 Standby UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector

Wanted this to keep my router and modem on during power outages and worked great! My TV however still shut off, but I think it's due to it being cheap and doesn't have a good power supply. However my main concern was my internet staying on. I've seen some reviews about people using this for a PC and it not working. Well, this shouldn't be used for that, you need a more powerful UPS. This item is great for smaller things such as a router or a modem, maybe a small fan. I definitely recommend this!

Excellent choice for a small back up. Use this for my net/wifi. Doesn't need much power but keeps the net from disappearing.

Supplies enough power for Fiber internet, or Bee link computer Gives you time to save your files and shut down properly. May need a larger unit for flat screen TV. Power surge or Brown out can kill a Roku TV fast. I live 400 feet from a substation. When the breakers open and close, it sounds like a 12 gunge shotgun going off.

Works pretty good once you figure out how to stop it from beeping regularly while the power is off. I'd advize looking that up BEFORE the power goes out in the middle of the night, unlike what I did.

Bought this UPS to power a recliner during power outages. Cheaper than the batteries that serve the same function, without the added cost of the battery charger. Plus you have some extra protected outlets for your phone charger. Only downside on this small UPS is that there is no way to silence the alarm during outages.

It works fine. I had to purchase this for my wifi. The antenna/system cannot work if there are power outages, so they recommended this one. It was cheaper than other like it.

I've purchased three of these now, and none of them support even the tiniest load for even a second when the power goes out. I moved into a new old house about a year ago and set up a bunch of electronics. After much research and reading reviews I decided since I need three of these in different parts of the house, I'd get the load needed with a little buffer room to save money. The one in the south end of the house runs nothing but a 1w radio and a 30w fan. The one in my tech closet runs half a dozen small electronics and my home assistant pc. The one in my office should run my home pc, monitors and a few small electronics on a shelf. None more than half the 425 load these should be able to carry. The electricity here hasn't gone out permanently in the year since I moved in, but it has flashed off for more than a minute a few dozen times. First time I used the first unit, it didn't work. Power flashed off and the pc instantly shut down, alarm sounding on the UPS. I took out the battery to make sure it's connected and charged up, all looks great. Next time the power flashed, everything died again. By this point I'd already ordered two more, so now everything in my house that I need to stay running, only for a minute or two, shuts off even when properly plugged into the battery backup side of the ups. Frustrating. These are the cheaper option, but it's still a lot of money for three things probably out of the return window now, that haven't worked once since day one. Spend the money on the better brand, buy once cry once. Now I have to do that too, but I've already wasted the money on these too so cry twice I guess.

This is perfect for a device you might have in your home that you need during a power outage. Not meant for a major appliance like a refridgerator or the A/C unit but, in our case, an electronic ignition tankless water heater. We now have hot water during any power outage beause the unit needs just a little electric kick to start up and then it runs on it's own. At the same time I could plug in my cellpone charger or laptop if I found out, during an outage, that I wasn't prepared. Surge protector is a bonus!

Good product, be aware it will beep like crazy when the power goes out, so make sure to press the power button twice in short order to disable the alarm if you don't want to wake up your household at night. Only the sockets on the power button side have battery support, but all 8 are surge protected. Reality check: It powered a 20W mini desktop for about 2 hours. Pro tip: I use scripts on my computers to check if my router and range extender is on and if not, slow down to one core, if possible unmount SSD to save power and finally shut off the computer. The device is suited best to bridge short interruptions or facilitate a shutdown in an orderly fashion to prevent hard drive / SSD issues and data loss.

it does what is advertised well

I purchased this as an extra back up for my security camera and alarm system. We get frequent power failures out at the lake and this UPS has help prevent low voltage problems with our security system and allow our security cameras to work for about 60 minutes after a power failure occurs. I've tried the larger Cyber Power UPS but prefer this smaller unit since it doesn't require hooking up a laptop to configure settings and shut off the loss of power warning buzzer. Overall very happy with these UPS, they're a decent price, easy to install and just work.

I am forced to keep our landline by a greater power, so when Bell said "hey, you gotta move to fibre or you will lose phone service" I didn't really have much choice but to switch. What Bell failed to mention is that their Home Hub no longer comes with a battery backup and you can't seem to buy the battery anymore, so if the power goes out, you no longer have home phone service! And when power comes back on, it takes almost 2 minutes for the modem to boot up and re-connect. Not ideal if you have an emergency!! Got one of these Cyberpower UPS's to keep the phone service running during power outages. The Home Hub seems to draw very little power, so it should keep the phone lines up for awhile.

A well-made, sturdy and effective UPS. would buy again.
