What are some of the questions (trying to decide if I should get the Happiness one or the Original, or Dinner Party)?

Samples: !. Are you an open book? (flip side - live your values (*my comment - how does that spark a conversation and what does an 'open book' personality have to do with living one's values?)); 2. How happy are your genes? (flip side-about 50% of life satisfaction comes from your genes (*so how would the average person respond to this question about his/her genes? "I have happy genes"? "I have unhappy genes"? - ugh!): 3. Which fruit do you wish was more available? (flip side - studies show you'll feel more satisfied with life if you eat fruit (*really???); 4. Is happiness the point? (flip side - have deep conversations (*about what?); 5. Would you rather have children who are happy or successful? (flip side - Aristotle wrote that happiness is the only thing that humans desire for its own sake (*how does that relate to the question?); 6. How much of your day do you spend in your car? (flip side - find a job with a fast & easy commute (*because that would a) be easy and 2) solve all your problems! -- short commute guarantees job that will make you happy? Or miserable job is ok as long as commute is short? ). In short I found most of the questions superficial, silly, and not good springboards to meaningful conversations about happiness.

I see people are using this with kids. Has anyone had success with kids under 12? If so, what ages?

I've used the general one with kids, all under 12 and they have enjoyed it. however, similar to the answer to the first question here, if you are not already happy and if the kids you are planning on playing with don't have a traditional family life, this could lead to some very different kind of questions and answers than you are expecting. Not bad conversations, but not necessarily the fun times you were planning on.
