I always useJohnson paste wax unfortunately they don’t make it anymore or if you can find.it the price is astronomical. I just use the trewax applying it by hand and using my buffer. The wax is slightly thinner than Johnson, but does a very good job. I would not hesitate. to buy it again.

I used it to refinish a floor in 100 year-old house that was originally wax so I wanted to use wax again. It was not an easy process, but it wasn’t horrible. I did it by hand because the room was not that big and I don’t have to be in any hurry so I can do one room at a time. I’m going to do another bedroom soon. This beautiful floor was under my carpet.

I saw this suggested to put on a table saw top for cutting, and honestly, its almost toooo good. I barely applied any of it - a little goes a long way. I can see using this for a ton of other things as well, and this container size is pretty much a life time supply unless you dont seal it properly.

I got this paste wax to try on my polished concrete floors and it worked well. Goes on easy but takes a little work. Like waxing a car but on your hands and knees on the floor. Once it dries I just stood on a beach towel and shuffled my feet around until it was all polished. It leaves a nice sheen which is not slick. It is not as durable as using a flooring machine and a more industrial floor wax but it is cheaper and much easier to wax around small objects like toilets and pedestal sinks. I also tried it on my larch stair treads and it made them smooth but it wasn't too noticeable as far as how shiny or clean they looked. For the price I will try and reapply every year and see how well the floor holds up.

Smooth and easy to apply. Takes a while to dry to a haze so be patient. Nice finish. I use it on my steel products and tools.

Came cracked, crumbled, all bent out of shape, and a strong chemical smell like other reviewers stated, came with the old logo as well. Now that that parts done, I've been using this to coat my woodworking machine surfaces for two reasons: to make the surfaces slick and to keep rust away. It is doing both well, but I will say I feel like I am going through a lot of it compared to what people say (that it should last years) I just don't see that happening. id say it is easy to use, and does take some patience if you want the expected outcome. I apply a thick layer and push it into the surface with a cotton rag, I wipe of the excess leaving a nice film and leave on for 10-15min. I then come back using the same rag and do it over again, eventually you'll have a nice film of wax and things will glide smoothly across it. now typically you want to start with thin applications but that didn't work with this sample of trewax I received- which is why I rated it 3 stars because of the condition and something doesn't feel quite right.

Great quality wax. Have an old dresser that was hard to pull the drawers out (wooden slats instead of sliders). After waxing the bottom of the drawers and the wood slides they slide on, it went from pulling teeth to gliding on ice. Works very well, not hard to apply at all as it is soft. Goes on clear and doesn't change the color of the wood, but brings out the vibrancy. Also works great on table saw tops, planer and jointer tops as well giving a better experience with using tools and protecting them from rusting.

I did not buy it for my floor but to wax gunstocks. You can buy "gunstock" wax and get a small bottle for about the same price as one of these tubs. When I clean and restore vintage military firearms, after the linseed oil has dried an application of this wax serves both to protect the wood and bring it back to life. It dries fairly quickly to a hard finish and can be buffed to a sedate gloss. The only drawback is that you need to heat it up to around 80 - 90F to be able to apply it easily. Ditch the expensive "gunstock" wax and use this product, you will be pleased and save money in the process.

I got this to put on my crosscut sled and other wood working jigs. It is fantastic. Protects the wood from moisture and creates a smooth surface. It does require effort to work in, so be patient.

I've been looking for this for a long time, I only found floor polish that would last but this product is much easier to us, has no smell and leaves a perfect finish on the dining table.
