I only read the first of the three books (An Auctioned Bride) and my review is based only on what I read. Everyone has a specific style of writing that they prefer. This author's style is not to my taste. I need dialogue to keep me interested in a character's story line. The first 16 chapters are mostly just descriptive with maybe a line or two of dialogue every few pages. It was hard for me to keep reading. Chapter 17 actually had the two main characters talking to each other and I perked up a bit. Unfortunately, it was back to a mainly descriptive type narrative and I started to wonder if it was actually worth it to finish. There was no sexual tension between the two characters and I never felt any real romantic connection. The entire book is a chase by the heroine's uncle, presumably to kill her. The reason is never explained and I assume that the answer lies in one of the other books in the collection. Unfortunately, I just can't muster up enough enthusiasm to read them to find out.No sexual situations to offend any readers. In fact, I can't even remember them kissing, but I could be wrong.

After reading all three of these books, I will take a break from the lack of editing. I've gotten tired of the sentences with words missing and wrong words leaving the meaning to guesswork. "not looking own at her" "chart" when they were riding in a cart.The author needs to review the facts of life of farm animals which have one udder per female animal equipped with teats which are squeezed for milking. One does not grab "udders" when milking a cow. Also, this author, unfortunately like many others, thinks that "blood pulsed in the vein..." Blood oozes in veins and pulses in arteries. Veins and arteries are not the same thing.The stories are much the same...lone female set upon by the uncouth, saved by the highlanders, travel to the highlands while said female falls for a highlander.

There’s something fascinating about Scotland & the Highlands. The History & fighting back & forth between clans & England as well as Ireland. The men were fighters & seemed to be able to handle themselves well in a fight. The women who married them of strong wills & minds of there own. Loved it.

OMG ... These 3 books were just as awesome as the first 3 books. I can't wait to get the next 3 books in this series. Again, I highly recommend Aileen Adams as an author. She is descriptive without being excessive. I felt myself being a part of the story since I could easily see my surroundings. The development of her characters is very believable. You like the good guys and detest the bad guys. In my book, that pretty much says it all. Just good overall reading.

Books 4-6 tell the adventures of the McGinnis twins and their friend Broc and how they each found love with Dalla, Margery and Beatrice. Each of the ladies are strong characters who have to be rescued from evil people, but in turn help rescue the men when they run into trouble. I’ve loved each book of this series so far. They are stand alone, but still tie in characters from the previous books. I can’t wait to read the next set.

I have read from book 1-6 in this series.They can each be read as stand alone books, however in sequence is so much better. Each book deals with an individual bClan member & how they find their intended.I felt a part of the series as each character was developed & the situations they found themselves in, leading up to their rescuing. Their future partners.I really enjoyed this series.

I enjoyed reading these three stories. The characters are nicely described and their interactions enjoyable. There are evil ones that added to the story and you're glad when they get what they deserve. There were a few grammatical errors but overall good writing.

I have enjoyed reading the second set of, Highland Heartbreats.Reading about all the travels these men took, the people after them, the rescuing and falling in love with the women they rescue.

I really enjoy reading this series. Infact I have read book 1- 6 and I like all the stories of each individual and their connections. I have more books in this series and cant wait to finish it.
