Delicious, soft, chewy, very satisfying
Large bag, super easy to unwrap, these caramels are delicious! They are soft and very chewy, and if you are a chewy person, as I am, you should love these, very satisfying. I love caramel apples so I spread a caramel then pressed it in salted chopped peanuts, took a bite of an apple slice and a bite of caramel, viola, instant caramel apple! I used four pieces which was enough for a small apple.

Very very tasty
Very very tasty. Not as many in the bag as I thought, and probably should have had more sale. But overall, they were good!

Addictive - but don't order in the summer
I love these caramels, but wish I had waited for cooler weather to have them shipped to me. They must have sat in a hot van all day before being delivered and the cellophane is nearly impossible to get off the deliciousness of these excellent caramels. I'll have to stock up next fall! Here's my original review.... Addictive isn't ALWAYS a nice adjective, but in this case, these soft caramels are downright addictive. Some friends gave us a box of soft caramels for Christmas - Bequet caramels from Montana. They sat unopened thru January and then I discovered them. Somehow, I made it to my ripe old age thinking that caramels are those cubes from Kraft that are tough as an old catchers mitt and more useful in removing dental crowns than in satisfying my sweet tooth. Those Bequet caramels are great - soft an chewey and delicious. But they are crazy expensive. These caramels from Oregon Farms are a very close second in softness and I believe taste even better. If the Bequet are a perfect 10 in softness, these from Oregon Farms are a 8.5 or 9. But the taste is incredible - buttery and sweet. Just as you're about to finish one off, your brain kicks in and says "Hey! There's more in the bag - let's have just one more!" These are that good - it is challenging to eat just one. The packaging is kind of meh - they come in an unadorned bag that does not present well as a gift. And the individual pieces are cellophane wrapped that can be tricky to rip open when your brain is screaming for just one more. But maybe that is a good thing! Try these caramels - you (and your brain) are gonna love them.

Tasty caramels
Caramels arrived well packaged with a note suggesting brief refrigeration if they got over heated enroute. They are nicely wrapped and tasty.

These are easily as good or better than caramels costing three times as much.
I’ve become a caramel connoisseur recently. I have always liked caramel flavor but only recently have I delved deeply into the ingredients and high quality caramel. Typically you want to avoid corn syrup (good luck) and look for brown sugar, cane sugar, BUTTER and CREAM as your primary ingredients. In theory. You may also see molasses in quality caramels. But, you will find that those caramels may cost $30 a pound or more. Meanwhile these are $9.95 a pound. So they must not be as good, right? Well, that depends. If you want your caramels to have notes of this and hints of that (like a wine tasting), then yes, you will want those things. If you want BUTTERY sweet caramels with a great TEXTURE that don’t require a loan to purchase, then these caramels are awesome. I have done side by side tests of Bequet Caramels (arguably the best and very expensive) and also Tara’s which if you avoid the vanilla caramels (which are sickeningly sweet) are also among the best of the Sea Salt caramels out there. Honestly, I prefer these. Not by some huge margin and I do like the others very much. But for a daily caramel that is outstanding in texture, flavor and butter-flavor, these Oregon Caramels are top notch. Oddly, there is another caramel out there that seems identical to these in flavor and texture. I don’t want to lose this review so I will come back and add them later. Maybe. The other brand is UPTOP and they are odd. They sell freeze dried skittles without mentioning they are repackaged skittles. They are a woman-minority owned company and I would BET they are repackaging these. They seem almost identical in flavor and packaging.
