Victorinox's most complete small pen knife
This tiny (58m) pen knife has a ton of tools on it--some that you didn't know you needed. It has two knives (one is a precision knife), a nail file, flat edges that can be used for small slotted screws, a small, magnetized, phillips screwdriver, a tiny ruler, the great, famous Victorinox scissors, a very effective bottle opener, a pill sorter (can be used as a medium sized slotted screwdriver and a small package opener/orange peeler. These are all small tools, but they are strong for their size. Getting them in the Alox style (aluminum sides/scales) makes the unit a bit stronger, but you lose the tweezers (just use the precision blade instead), and pen. The price difference is not large between the two versions. This knife is very small, lightweight and can be carried on a keychain. One of the downsides is that this is pretty expensive; however, it is very well made. I have a few other Victorinox knifes and they have lasted for many, many years. I have a Victorinox Fieldmaster that is about double the size of this Minichamp and the two complement each other well because the Minichamp has smaller tools that the Fieldmaster does not. An alternative to the Minichamp is the Victorinox Rambler--it has fewer tools and is less expensive. It basically is a Classic SD with the nice bottle opener/magnetized phillips screwdriver. Unfortunately, the Rambler, does not have an Alox version. This is a very capable, small knife that can be utilized for a ton of things. It is very small, but that is one of the things that is nice about it--it doesn't take up much weight or space, yet it is very handy.

Great knife
The Victorinox Mini Champ Alox Swiss Army Knife is incredible! Compact yet incredibly versatile, it packs 15 functions into a small, durable design. The bright orange finish makes it easy to spot, and the quality “Swiss Made” craftsmanship is obvious in every detail. It’s also the perfect knife for keeping on a keyring—small enough to carry everywhere but still extremely functional. Perfect for everyday carry, outdoor adventures, or as a reliable tool on the go. Highly recommend!

Compact with plenty of tools and robust aluminum scales
My Midnight Champ, essentially the same knife with the same tools but with translucent deep blue scales and a flashlight, found its way to the washing machine after several years of dutiful service, and I was appalled at the damage it sustained there (though, oddly, the LED light that's not water sealed still worked somehow). I decided it was time for a replacement especially since, since I purchased it, I have moved aboard a boat and prioritize submersibility when I jump overboard for a swim or go kayaking and things might go awry. This one's more durable at the expense of the light or, if you don't get one with the light, tweezers or toothpick. Is it odd that I really like the toothpicks on Victorinox knives? I even used them as...Toothpicks. But I digress. I like the wide array of tools on these MiniChamps regardless of which you choose. The bottle opener's a bit fidgety but otherwise, the only downside is how long it takes you to develop the ability to instinctively grab the right knife or tool out of the vast array it sports. The small phillips head screwdriver is the best small phillips head screwdriver I've ever had in terms of connecting exceptionally well with small phillips head screws. And as someone living a slightly more risky than average lifestyle, I like that it has a near-scalpel type blade and that the orange peeler one that's great for clamshell product packaging is also a pretty good design for cutting through clothes to access a wound with removing the item of clothing -- Which is probably what it was originally designed for. It's nice that it augments a first aid kit in the form of an everyday carry piece that's near always in my pocket. And with the aluminum scales, it's even thinner than with the plastic ones. I added a zipper tie to mine, so it's easier to handle and I have an inch more material to grab onto before it potentially slips out of my hand and falls overboard...And I break down in tears over losing a $50 exceptional and surprisingly manly looking for its size (with those checkered aluminum scales), pocket knife. I attached a proper lanyard with carabiner to my Victorinox Skipper Pro sailing knife, which I had to buy directly from Victorinox because Amazon didn't carry it at the time, but that would defeat the minimalist sizing of this one. Great job, Victorinox! I'll try to keep this one out of the marina washing machine.

Convenient and Compact Key Ring Toolset
I admit I am a gadget guy having many Victorinox SAK's and other multitools. This Alox Mini Champ is made to Victorinox standards and is sturdy and easily carried on my key ring. The bladed accessories are sharp and easy to maintain. A great low-profile EDC multitool.

Best victorinox 58mm EDC
Best victorinox 58mm EDC, compact size, includes all the necessary tools. It's amazing to put so many tools into this tiny one, and quality. Only problem is the size, too small to lose it. A lanyard is a must!

Great EDC option
I love this knife. Is it small? Yes. Can it do everything a larger knife can do? No. But that isn't what it's for. In its size and weight class it really has no equal in what it can do and it can do a surprising amount of work. I can EDC this everyday without much of a penalty in bulk or weight and that's a good thing. I feel all the tools are useful despite what some of the other reviewers have said or think. I use the cuticle pusher as intended but it also works as a flat head screw driver for some of the wider notched screws and as a pharmaceutical/powder scoop. The orange peeler is also good for making very good draw cuts and opening the clam-shell packaging we so often see now a days. The ruler has a flat head driver on it but I use it to scrape and make indentations in things. I got the alox version with the metal scales which cuts down on the width at the cost of the light and pen. It's thinner than my my car fob and in my opinion quite attractive and worth the trade off.

Great little keyring knife
This little knife is beautiful and useful. It's light enough to keep on your keyring, and even though it has a large toolset, the Alox scales make it nearly as thin as a Classic or Rambler SAK. The tool I like most is the "orange peeler", but it should really be called the package opener. It's great for opening those nearly impenetrable blister packs. I'd give it five stars except for one thing: there are too many tools. Hard to believe, I know. But one side has five blades, and given the knife's small size, some of those tools can be frustratingly difficult to open, especially for people like me with larger hands and failing eyesight. I guess it's not so much a failing of the product, but it needs to be married up with the right person. Something to keep in mind.

The best quality little knife in the world
This little guy is amazing, first off the build quality is the excellent fit and finish from Victorinox. But with ALOX and more tools! Honestly the top tier upgrade from a SD.
