The Chicken Swing, Chicken Toy ,13100, Country Corn, 1 , Yellow Green & Brown

Spendy but they are sturdy and easy to clean. I have them all over my coop and run. Hang from ceiling with eye hooks not open hooks. I even tape them to the brooder for the chicks to get used to them.

So far, I haven't seen any of my chickens use this swing, but even if they never do, this is the cutest, and funniest, thing I have ever purchased for my chickens and it makes me smile every time I look at it. My chickens free range, so it may take till Winter for them to want to play closer to home. Maybe someday my chickens will entertain me on this.

Nothing wrong with the swing itself that I can see, but if you expect your chickens to come lining up to take turns, you (or at least I) are probably kidding yourself. Kept it in the front yard for four months. None of the big girls ever expressed any interest in the swing, and when I helpfully put them on, they flew squawking off, turning to give me the stink eye before stomping away, shaking their heads at my foolishness. I thought that perhaps it was just because they were older and set in their ways, and surely young chicks would quickly coming queing up, delighted at the opportunity for playtime. Not so much. The young chicks, handled frequently and lovingly as they grew up, found the whole idea of being perched on the swing bemusing at best, and none stayed on for more than 20 seconds. Not once have I ever seen any of the chickens voluntarily get on the swing. I finally moved it to the backyard so that the neighbor who jogs by would quit laughing at me. Believe me, hearing "How much did you pay for that thing, again?" more than twice is even more humiilating than thinking it quietly to yourself. I will probably try the next batch of chicks on it, but my hopes are not nearly as high as they once were. I swear, I think the chickens are laughing at me, too.

It's a present for my best friend. She is crazy about her chickens. I actually saw one on Ebay and ordered it first and it arrived broken. You guys saved the day! The quality and packaging is great! The chickens are going to be swinging like champs!

I chose this rating only because after having this swing for a month I have not seen even one of my chickens show any interest in the swing. We have 5 older chickens and 6 spring chickens and we cannot get anyone chicken to even show any interest in it. They don't even look at it. We spend a lot of time out and about on our property with our chickens in the summer since I'm a teacher and have time this past month to pay a lot of attention to them. So I tried to lower the swing so maybe they might just run through it and might stumble onto it and figure out that it might be fun? No luck. So my husband tried to capture an older chicken and place it on the swing------No luck. My husband captured a younger chickens and tried to place them on the swing and once again the same result------No luck. So now we have a very nice looking swing that just hangs out in the yard of our chicken coop looking very nice. The swing is nice, but the fact that our chickens do not want to attempt to use it is a big downer! I thought that they would like the swing and would actually want to swing on it or at least show some sort of interest it wanting to check it out. I haven't even seen a chicken look at the swing and be curious of what it might be. VERY DEPRESSING :(

I think this is a really cool product. Love how well it is made and how it looks. However my chickens have never used it and won't even try it. I tried training one with treats to use it and she still wasn't interested. I have 4 new babies now that I just got, and so I am going to out it in their brooder and try to train them to hop on it, so maybe they will use it when they grow up. I love the idea of it and wish my chickens would use it. However a lady in my chicken group just got one and said her chicks used it right away. She said she had hers only 6" off the ground. Mine is about a foot off the ground, so I think her idea to lower it was good. Worth a try for your chickens. Mine aren't interested but I am hoping I can teach the new babies to try it.

I know one day my chickens will use this and I too can create hilarious videos like the ones that inspired me to purchase this. I occasionally catch my girls perched on it, but they don't seem to be swinging. They are still young so I hope they'll get it. This was super easy to install in the run and it seems safe. If my chickens, even one chicken, ever enjoys swinging, I will be delighted.

My girls refuse to swing on it. I thought it was such a cute idea but it ended up being a waste of money. I still have it in their large run hoping that eventually they will try it out. I mean if I was a chicken I would be swinging on it all day!!!
