Very nice pants.
I normally wear 34x31 in jeans. I bought several of the Pilsner Peak, the Silver Ridge, and Blood and Guts pants for comparison.Pilsner Peak pants: Fits a bit slim. Especially at the waist. Probably closer to 33 inches than 34. It rides a bit lower on the hip than the Silver Ridge and therefor a bit snug in the crotch. The length are the same. The Pilsner Peak are closer in style to a typical dress pants. Just one extra slot for pen or knife. The rear pocket is not flapped. The fit at the thigh is good for me. I have medium/thin thighs and it's not snug, but just right. If you have large thighs, you'll find these might be too slim. The leg then drops stragith. Material is woven, feels very nice. It's light material. I like it more than the nylon feeling of the Silver Ridge pants.Silver Ridge pants: the fit is very similar toe the Pilsner fit in that it's a bit slim. There's more pockets at the thight and the rear pockets are flapped. There is an elastic waist. It does come with a pretty cheap but functional 1 inch nylon belt. It rides just a bit higher on the hips than the Pilsner and the fit makes your butt look better. The material is more of a typical nylon feel. Not as comfy as the Pilsner but is still very comfrotable overall.Blood and guss: much looser fit from the hip down. If you want lots of flexibility in movement, this is your pants. The waist is a bit slim like the other two pants. There is minimal elasticity. The material is the thickest of the 3. Doesn't mean it's thick, just a bit thicker of the 3. Still a summer pants. Because the fit is loose on my thighs and lower legs, these are my least favorite of the 3 pants.

Great Hiking Pants, Bought More
Love these pants. Second time buying them, but only because I misplaced my first pair. They are light enough to wear during the summer heat, but thick enough to preserve some warmth in the colder months and also protect you from sun and mosquitos. They are highly functional and durable. The adjustable waist band is a nice addition. The pockets are deep enough to hold multiple items without being too bulky. Only complaint is that they wrinkle easily, but I don't think anyone is wearing them to make a fashion statement.

Ultralight! Fits your standard jean size.
Fits perfectly! Pants feel like a second skin - swimsuit/board short material. Been on a few hikes with them now. Pretty durable, haven't had any wear and tear yet. Quick drying, but you'll definitely need rain pants if youre going to be in the rain. Pants are not even water resistant. Im not a fan of the belt its way too thin and feels like a rope has been tied around your waist. The more I use it, the less it stays tight too. Just keeps loosening on the trail which is aggravating to stop every couple minutes to tighten your belt. Looking for alternative thats not leather/metal buckle.. Getting a little worried about the top button on a pair. Took a trail leak and the button came undone the second I unzipped the fly. Good thing I've got quick reflexes. But now I'm concerned my pants will drop mid trail.

These are my go-to pants
These are great pants and have replaced jeans as my go-to pants. Theyโre lightweight and roomy, very comfortable, and well made. They have elastic in the waist on the left and right, giving them a nice fit. They have 2 roomy side pockets, two rear pockets with velcro flap closures, a pocket in the right leg with a velcro flap closure, and a pocket on the left leg with a zip. These pants are lightweight, so if you live in a colder climate youโll need a layer underneath them at times.I am a size 36 waist and the 36 pants fit me perfectly. Other reviewers have noted they measure a little longer than the stated size. I have 3 pairs in a 30โ length and they all measure 31โ. The pants come with a fabric belt but frankly I find it more decorative than functional. With the elastic in the waist I donโt find a belt all that necessary.I have 3 pairs: Gravel is a dark green-grey color, Tusk is a mid-range khaki color, and Fossil is a light khaki. These pants are very easy to care for. They wash and dry quickly and donโt retain creases. In fact, you can hang-dry these in a few hours.

Good fit and utility with poor materials.
The pants fit as advertised and their utility for work is excellent. I have 4 pairs of these in different colors. It appears that Columbia uses different manufacturers since a couple of my older colors (sand and green) wear extremely well, but a couple of my newer ones (gray and tusk) have had the left rear wallet pocket fray and tear. The gray one also had the the other rear pocket fray and tear even though it was rarely used. I recently replaced it with the same color and we'll see how it goes.

Great trouser's , Bad Pockets
The Pant's are great, apart from the pocket's.The Knee pockets are to low so if you put a phone or wallet in them they bang into your knees as you walk. The rear pockets are not secure, there is a flap secured by velcro but the placement of the velcro means that large things like phones and wallets can still fall out and the velcro sticks to your jacket if you do not keep the flap closed. The Front Pocket are to shallow in my opinion, again things can fall out.If your are wearing theres pants while doing any form of active activity plan to keep your valuables else where.
