Are there any smaller ones, that look like they were designed in -this- century? It's near impossile to hide this one.

I am sorry, I am one of the seller and to make loud fart you need design from last century. New design is no good for make of fake farts. You best bet is to buy our product!!

How realistic are the fart sounds. Is it obvious they are made with a computer?

They are pretty realistic. My daughter has pranked our whole family and I had a co-worker walk around with it in his pocket...the sounds are very convincing!

Can you hide this in the fridge, or will it be damaged?

If you're in a dry climate leaving it in a fridge for a few days would be fine. But in most places the condensation when it's taken out of the fridge could damage it. Batteries lose a good deal of efficiency when cold (but it'll still work), the electronics can operate in cold temperatures, but condensing humidity will likely be a problem. Since your fridge is surrounded by metal, the transmitter (button) might need line-of-sight to the receiver. Metal will shield the radio signal.

Sometimes when I press the button, nothing happens. Do you know why?

Yes ...Distance too far mostly batteries are weak, change them and try it again, ;-)
