Amazing images and beautifully printed, love the double backed pages. If you are unaware of Kawauchi's work this is a good starting point.

Beautiful works but the print could be better. The double pages with single image does not disguise the fact that the inking is not as good as it could be. Shame really as it would really benefit from being top quality all the way through the process of production. Love her work!

I still haven't understood why some pages and attached to eachother despite only being printed on one side so the blank side of the pages are attached to eachother. if this serves some purpose I have yet to figure it out.

A subtle and sensitive work, thoughtfully sequenced and beautifully bound. Rinko Kawauchi has a distinctive eye for finding beauty in the quotidian.

This is one of the best books and works by Kawauchi and one that most people associate with her today. I found it to be quite good, though Aila remains my favourite

A very generous selection of images, beautifully reproduced (no page numbers). There is a very specific, and unique, sensibility at work, at once strictly controlled and extensively variegated: the range of her imagination is far-reaching. The color pallet is under saturated, the focus soft or off but there is a lot of technique at work in producing images of such casual beauty and disturbing mystery. In one way, the pictures are a kind of homage to the Rolleiflex, getting results that I would have thought impossible.Is there anybody like her?
