Lightning HDMI Cable Review
I bought this specifically to use to mirror my phone in the car via the HDMI port. One would expect this cable to be plug and play, but there appears to be driver/firmware issues based on iOS updates, so when I first plugged it in, all I saw was a blank screen with a QR code. It's to download an app called Drong Cast, that can update this for you; it seems a bit sketchy with the bad English and weird name, but it is actually the right tool and after you go through the update process and reboot the phone, the cable works perfectly every time I use it. Build quality is about what you would expect; the HDMI adapter portion had some scratches and nicks on it which must've happened during the manufacturing process but it didn't impact the performance of the cable. The HDMI adapter gets fairly warm while in use, but not to a temperature that caused any alarm for me. I'm deducting 1 star for the confusion and hassle of having to perform an update on the cable without any instructions before it could even be operable.

Garbage product
This thing is garbage. It duplicates the home screen of my iPad/iPhone but as soon as I start a movie or show on any app (Netflix,Hulu,Disney Plus,Amazon) the only thing it does is play sound on a black screen. On both IPad/IPhone and the TV. The website for this product is also useless and is of no help.

The HDMI input is too thick and wide
The HDMI input is thick and wide and won't allow an adjacent HDMI to be used on my Samsung Smart TV. It works as described but the picture quality is diminished.

Useless
NOT plug&play as advertised. To make it work, you have to download a super shady app called "Drong Cast" that has 1.5 stars in the app store. Avoid.

This ptoduct is crap
When I plugged this item into the monitor, it brings up a barcode on the screen to download an app from apple store.It also asked my ipad if I wanted to trust this device. From all the warnings I read from the app store, people have had bad experiences with this product. I could only get it to mirror my ipad once.Avoid this cable!!!

Try something else
It worked the first time I used it but after we moved to a new home it will not work with the same TV set.

Puts WatchESPN Vanderbilt baseball games on the big screen. (VU now National Champions.) Football next when games not on national TV.
