Sooooo,to cut to the chase and explain what the authormeans by,"a green thumb without an aching back" wouldmean I am revealing what the book was written about andwould ruin it for curiosity seekers and future readers.Needless to say,Ruth Stout has some good garden stories here :vegetables,flowers,pests, and hard times and good times in thesometime fickleness of the gardening world. All around goodbook but, some will not like her idea thinking it, "too messy" or"ugly"..read book and see...
