Q: How long are the are the straps? I have a small head and Velcro is not working in short strips

Each strap is 7.5" / 19cm. The hooks and loops are 4" / 10cm on each side.The smallest net circumference is about 16" / 40.5cm. This would cause lots of overhang on the strap, which you may want to cut with scissors; and then either hem or glue the cut ends because you'll be cutting out some of the stitching that secures the hooks & loops to the elastic straps.Over time the elasticity in the straps breaks down and you will need to tighten them a bit more. The straps will outlive the mask. My first one lasted over a year with nightly use of 8 hours and additional nap use of 30 min per day. Also good for meditation and other private activities.

It's definitely an eye/sleep mask and not a pillow. It is generously sized so it will fit a man well and it is slightly large on a woman. I end up with some weird depressions on my cheeks when I wake up. The eye area is recessed you can blink inside the mask without your eyelashes touching. The velcro strap on the back allows you to wear as tight or as loose as you want.

don't know. I have dark one. very comfortable. works great
