This stuff is awesome!
I love this stuff! It works so well. Totally worth the money! I have a lot of digestive issues and resistant starch the only supplement that has ever helped them in 20 years of trying things. This might be a little too much information for some people, but I had diarrhea for 20 years as well. I saw specialists had a colonoscopy and many other tests done. In the end they said all we can tell you is sometimes your body changes and eat more fiber. The fiber only made things worse. It took me a while with resistant starch, going slowly, to get up to a higher dose, but after a few months (canโt remember exactly how many now) my diarrhea went away!! I didnโt even think that could happen. I know itโs the starch because if I go off it, the diarrhea comes back. And when I work my way back up to a higher dose again, it goes away. I also have noticed other effects. My bloated stomach goes away! Twenty years of people asking you if your pregnant when you arenโt - finally over! Again it comes back if I go off the starch and goes away when I work my way back up to a higher dose. I have many other health issues that make losing weight extremely difficult even when I go on the most strict diets for a long time - nothing happens except I get hangry. Iโve done so many different ones for so long hoping theyโll help. I notice when I take this diligently, that I actually lose a little weight without even trying!!! Iโm not eating differently. Iโm just taking the higher dose of starch. I also notice when Iโm taking the higher dose that I donโt gain as much weight if I eat what I would think of as โdangerous to my waistlineโ food - ice cream, chips, burger and fries, milkshakes, etc. I think thatโs pretty amazing too. I take it twice a day so that I never go over 24 hours without taking it. If you go over 24 hours without it, itโs like your body resets and all the good effects go away for about a week. At least thatโs what I notice. When I first started taking it, it took a week before I started to notice any changes. Like I said, I worked my way up to a higher dose low and slow so my weak digestive system could handle it. I didnโt notice all these amazing effects right away. It took weeks to months. For me the first thing I noticed was I wasnโt as hungry all the time (because nothing stayed in my body for more than 4-6 hours). I could go for longer without a burning hunger in my stomach and guts. Then the bloating went away maybe in two weeks-ish? Then I noticed I wasnโt gaining as much weight when I ate ice cream, etc. maybe after a few weeks/month. Then after maybe 2-4 months (it could have been a little longer) I noticed I was losing a little weight without trying and finally my diarrhea went away. Everyone is different so it might take longer or more, or maybe it would be faster and youโd need less? I donโt know. I can only tell you what happened to me. I do notice now after a year of taking resistant starch that if I forget and donโt take it and then start again at the same high dose that all the good effects come back after that first adjustment week. As far as the taste goes, itโs starch so it doesnโt taste that great if you take it in just juice. But it tastes good in smoothies or with milk. Iโm sure it would taste good in milk alternatives as well. I hope this helps somebody. I really appreciated other peoplesโ reviews when I was wondering wether to spend the money on this. It is definitely worth it!! Much better than potato starch!

Worth Every Penny โ My Second Purchase!
Worth Every Penny โ My Second Purchase! It was out of stock, but I set a price alert with Auto Buy and got it before it was even back in stock. Before I started using this, I was dealing with terrible constipation from being anemic and having to take iron supplements. It's easy to add this fiber powder to my daily protein shake and it completely fixed that with absolutely zero tummy problems! The texture is good, doesn't clump, isn't chalky or gross, and I can't even taste it in my shake. There is truly nothing else like this on the market!

Excellent quality, wonderful results & great customer support
I've been using Jonny's Organic Pulverized Green Bananas for a month now, and am so pleased with the results that I'm re-ordering several bags. Before purchasing, I nerded out and did an exhaustive review of all similar products. My goal is to increase my intake of prebiotic resistant starch to benefit gut bacteria. I did the calculations on competing brands and while they might have a cheaper price point, they also provide significantly LESS prebiotic fiber per 8 g serving. If your goal is quality prebiotic fiber, then Jonny's is the most cost effective and quality supplier out there. NOTE: I do not use this product for cooking or baking purposes. You can certainly do so, but high temps will change the composition of any green banana flour and reduce the prebiotic benefits. I use this premium product exclusively for gut health purposes so am careful to only add it to foods once the temp drops below 140ยฐ. I'll add this to soups and sauces, I just wait for them to cool down. Smoothies, dressings and dips are of no concern, so I'll mix Jonnys green banana powder in when I'm preparing the recipe. This green banana flour is super fine - more fine than a regular white flour. It's like powder, so it blends in very easily. It does have a slight thickening effect so you might need to use more liquid in your preparations. There's not much of a flavor to it. If I had to describe it, I'd say it was slightly nutty. This is not a product that I would mix into a glass of plain water and drink. You could, it doesn't have any kind of strong flavor, it's just not something that I personally would do. I have not had any gastrointestinal issues from adding this fiber to my diet. But I have noticed a decreasing amount of indigestion over the last month along with increased regularity and I'm down just about 4 lbs overall. I'm pretty sure this product makes me fill more full when I use it because when adding it to my typical morning smoothie, I find I'm simply not finishing the drink. I'm putting it in the fridge and then having the rest later when I'm feeling a bit hungry or for breakfast the following day. So, that calorie decrease along with better gut flora might be behind my weight loss. Nothing else has really changed, diet-wise. I started out with one 8 g serving (1 Tbsp) a day for about 5 days, and am now taking in ~ 3 servings a day. I'm happy to answer questions if you'd like to know more about my experience using Jonnys Good Nature Organic Pulverized Green Banana flour/powder. Cheers, Mary

Works as intended
The taste of the powder is hardly noticeable when mixed into smoothies and it seems to help repair my microbiome. The price also seems reasonable compared to other products.

Miracle of Green Banana Powder
I used to buy Blue Lilly when they had the old brand coloring or old packaging. Then they went away and now they are back it appears. It is a good brand. I went to Jonny's when these went away (out of stock) and that is a little different. I went much cheaper too and that was a mistake. Lilly is up there with Jonny's. Jonny's is more expensive and probably in my experience a little better. My two favorites. I will say I went from dozens of supplements, literally, to just banana powder and also butyrate (sodium and have tried magnesium/calcium) pill (s) I mix in a smoothie. Just some plant protein (3 Table spoons), two scoops of banana powder (around 6 Table spoons in all) and smidgen of wheat grass powder (the deep green stuff), a little high quality milk (missing that one offending protein) and the rest filtered water. 2 capsules butyrate opened and dumped into the drink. And this one drink has replaced every supplement I've ever tried. I have boxes of supplements getting old because this was the magic pill (magic solution) to supplant them all. The butyrate (and two other 'ates' created proponiate and can't spell the 3rd one) created by the bacteria that eat the banana powder do miracles for your genetics and the lining of your gut, the lining of your brain, the lining of your mouth. Butyrate helps your genes make up for mutations by accentuating the good genes. Study it. It's just an amazing thing. Foundational to health. Don't trust me or believe me, try it and do your own research. But the proof is in the pudding for me and this stuff has changed my health markedly for the better. I literally have 1000s of dollars in supplements that I'll never have to buy again and are going to waste now. Yes 6 Table Spoons of Green Banana Powder a day is a lot. But it's just that good and beneficial for me. And I want to mention before I started taking Banana Powder, my number one allergy is Bananas. I am allergic to Bananas and Latex (made from rubber trees such as a banana tree). So I started very slow, 1/8 teaspoon to start. Turns out its the protein in Ripe Bananas that is the offending thing. Green Banana Powder has not affected me at all. And now 6 Table spoons in I have found the magic amount for me. I alone literally have 400 dollars worth of probiotics going to waste. Probiotics suck in that you get a great batch one order and the next batch they are completely dead. And this is trying dozens of vendors, trying locale to pharmacy made. The resistant starch grows your bacteria better and I don't find the problems I'd find with all the different probiotics. After evacuating the bowels on probiotics, with different brands I'd get a queasy feeling going on in the gut. From the expensive Natren to many brands. Some did not exhibit this issue, but then the issue of dead on arrival. The queasy feeling was almost like having Sibo. Too much in the small intestine. Banana powder is processed in the deep colon by the bacteria. Very steady feeling always and never other issues. Just wonderful stuff.

Nice taste when mixed with almond milk
This really seems to me to be a quality product. I'm sure there are many ways to use it but I just add around 5mg to a cup of almond milk and drink it down a couple times a day... not too bad :) Of course, check with your doctor FIRST before ingesting resistant starch or starting any regimen; but for me, it helps. It has lowered my blood sugar and that is why I wanted to try it in the first place.

Mild banana taste and mixes well.
First time trying a product like this and I was pleasantly surprised by its taste and texture. I mix it into a tropical drink mix and it's actually delicious. I could definitely take this over the long term for the benefits offered by resistant starch and don't see a reason try to another version or brand.

Clean Ingredients, Great Quality
Granted, itโs a bit expensive, but this is a high-quality product with a smooth texture and clean ingredients. The taste is exactly what I expected โ earthy and neutral. I combine 1 tablespoon with my 25 g Protein Ratio yogurt or whisk it into 1 cup of unflavored kefir with a few drops of monk fruit and extract of choice. Green banana is a prebiotic; it acts as a food source for the bacteria in yogurt and kefir to thrive. Win-win combination.

Do not bother to look at the alternative suggestion they have now. Waste of time.
It is very high fibre, which helps with a low carb diet. Mixes into my homemade probiotic yogurt greatly. 7 carbs per tablespoon, 6 of which are fibre. Unfortunately it is not available at the moment and there are no other resistances starches available on Amazon, which are in fact okay for a low carb diet. The things suggested as a replacement are no where near the same other than the name resistance starch. All are high carb.
