Saki leaves you delightfully amazed at his ability to pack a powerful punch of humor, satire and clever twists in every single one of his stories. My personal favorites include "The Open Window", "The Guests" and "Laura" that continue to make me laugh every time I read them. However, he is equally capable of disconcerting you with macabre stories like "The Interlopers" and "Sredni Vashtar" which made me appreciate his writing skills even more. Saki stories, even the morbid ones, are highly entertaining reads that will undoubtedly leave you wanting more.
